I bought puff pastry for mt mince pie tart my face was a picture opening the oven this morning.....off to morrisons we go.....

Took my jack russel out for an early walk this morning who then promptly knobbed off , I have been out whistling and looking for him to no avail , he has done this before and comes back anywhere between 1 and 6 hours later
we were due to travel to mils at 10am for lunch so now making alternate plans , just went out to the second freezer containg all of our dog meat to find it has stopped working and has defrosted all of it and some green beans my dad gave me
waiting for third thing now !

Ds woke me at about 5am this morning saying that he wasn't feeling well & hasnt slept. He was mumbling to himself & did not sound well at all. Hope he isnt coming down with a bug because i have family coming today. Will wake him in a short while. Fingers crossed.

Cock up was my mother (no contact) decided to have Xmas day at my grandfathers house (we offer every year to cook for him but he refuses) so they inevitably argued as they don't like each other and she went home and I got to listen to phonecalls from both sides slagging the other one off. I just wanted a quiet Christmas with my kids and partner. No drama.

I've only read the op, but what's wrong with puff pastry mine pies? I love them .

Day didnt improve , still no dog ! I have been out looking and have put signs out
I set off late for xmas lunch got stuckon the M25 dont you just love their signage ,arrived at Sisters stayed for an hour then went onto Mils finished cooking the lunch as they were all too pissed by then

Sat down to watch a bit of telly and Father in law proceeded to snore loudly from then on in so made my excuses and went home , I have had better days

Mostly OK. DS got it into his head that he was getting an extra present - did not communicate this to us until he didn't get it, then had a bit of a tanty. (He is 13 and probably ASD and he gets these... ideas sometimes). But cooled down after a while.

Dd was given a toy turtle in little portable tank. Which she dropped spilling entire contents of icy water all over my poor fathers erm crotch area.

DH gave me my present and I unwrapped a soft toy pig then he said um I think I have got the presents the wrong way round.

It turns out that PIL have mice. We found out about them when we found the empty packaging of DS's stocking chocolates surrounded by many mouse droppings.

No he is still not back I have put posters up locally ,contacted the local vets and dog wardens so I am keeping searching tomorrow and putting more posters up
