My oh didn't know what to get me for Christmas. So he's got me ............ nothing.

Fuckity Arsesticks. I cannot find the bloody £50 Amazon gift card in a lovely tin that my sister sent DS. Arse and Bollocks. Where did I hide it??!!

I've bought DD a CD player for stories in her room, I can find the story CDs.

DN's have a nice notebook & pens as part of their present, I can't find the pens.

Our house is really tidy, where is this fucking stuff?? I'm looking at you DH lying on the sofa watching a film while I turn the house upside down, it will be you who bloody moved the stuff as usual.

Bought special dessert glasses (set of four) for Christmas lunch just before leaving to drive 3.5 hours to spend xmas with family. Had to bring everything with me as staying in a B & B. Four people for xmas lunch, set of four glasses.

Christmas eve evening (last night) start making dessert (a tiramisu). Opened the new box of glasses to discover there were only THREE glasses in the box!

FUCK, FUCK, FUCKITY FUCK!

Branch of the shop closing in fifteen minutes. Drove like a person possessed to get there in time. Fucking red lights all the way, no car parks, driving around the city centre about to have a heart attack in 32 degree heat at 7pm!

No way going to make it in time, so illegally parked & raced into an Aldi store with 3 minutes to spare before they too closed. Luckily found one remaining pack of four cheap plastic wine goblets, not as nice, but thanking the universe anyway.

Crisis averted. Christmas morning here now, nice and cool after a change in weather...aahh!

Last night DH served the steaks with (shop bought but naice) bread sauce by mistake.

We now have a choice of Christmas dinner with peppercorn sauce or the packet bread sauce he picked up today

Have brought all of the peripheral bits for DD but not her main present. We’re 3 hours from home. 😩

5 weeks ago the oven element died. Got it fixed and then yesterday whilst cooking mince pies something else has gone wrong and the oven will only cook at eleventymillion degrees.

Thank fuck for the slow cooker and the halogen/air frier that will save the day tomorrow.

I’ve just found out I brushed the Christmas cake with mango chutney instead of apricot jam.
My cupboards are so loaded that I opened a door and the pepper grinder fell out and landed in my painstakingly crafted salted caramel cheesecake (if only it had been the salt grinder!)

I’ve thrown my back out and have spent all day in the walk in centre. Am now on multiple mind altering pain killers and can’t cook tomorrow as I can’t lift anything

Lego have failed to deliver twins main present from my parents. Fake sorry letter from Santa printed. Left DHs main present at neighbours house.

The five year old just woke up and came into the living room to see us filling her stocking, with all of her other presents laid out.
I don't know how much she actually took in in her befuddled sleepy state but I do know that my shrieking alarmed her a lot. DH now calmly trying to put her back to bed.
I didn't do Santa with DD1 and now I remember why!!

We had no carrot for Rudolph - I've already batoned and part cooked them all for dinner tomorrow! My lovely dad fashioned a stunt carrot out of an unused sweet potato....

FFS - I have just realised that I have mixed up DTs presents AGAIN this year. It really shouldn't be this hard!

The DC all have their own wrapping paper - presents were wrapped a few weeks ago and all in separate boxes so all I had to do tonight was fill the stockings and pop the other gifts on the sofa.

Did all 4 stockings, admired my handiwork, helped DH build the digital piano and stool and then sat down all smug-like to start on the quality street.

Just had a sudden panic that I had mixed up DTs wrapping paper so had to carefully open one of the presents to check what it was (a particular present that they are both getting but in different colours) to discover that yes, I have wrapped DT1's gifts in the paper that matches DT2's stocking and vice versa.

Cue removing all the gifts and swapping them over and you can guarantee that some smartarse tomorrow will ask why their presents are in opposite papers!

FFS this must be the 3rd or 4th year in a row I've done this! I am binning the rest of the paper I have left over and starting afresh next year with totally non-matching paper - either that or persuading them to swap stockings, but after 7 years of the same stocking they are pretty attached to them.

I have forgotten to buy crackers - other than the sort that go with cheese...

We drove to MILs today with all presents and all the food for three days as she is nearly 90 and can’t do it anymore. Unpacked to realise I had only packed 4 crackers and there are five of us! Hopefully I haven’t forgotten anything else.

Thought I’d got everything until I read this thread, and just realised I’ve not bought melon for dd1, as she doesn’t like the soup we have for starters! That’ll be dh off to the spar shop tomorrow!

I've "lost" two of DDs presents (a river island purse and silver bracelet) and have no idea where they are. Even if I find them I will struggle to wrap them as down to the last bit of cellotape. 😬

We are supposed to be hosting and have all come down with a d&v bug. Christmas is cancelled! I'm gutted because I now feel loads better and don't know what to do all day tomorrow! Dp still ill unfortunately and we only have Christmas food in the house.

HABA thank you for saving Christmas. The dolls house was set up with a mixture of happy land, telly tubby, peppa pig and Mr tumble figures. It's been a massive hit.
