I’ll have 5 on Xmas eve and 12 Xmas day so I don’t want to go overboard on Xmas eve. We are going to a carol service and I was thinking a chilli or bolognese once we get back. Would you be happy with that or is it not special enough?

We’re going out to a local gourmet burger place so I guess I’ll be having a burger.

MrsPringles · 21/12/2017 12:38

Party food with paper plates to keep washing up to a minimum!

Picky tea so baked Camembert, crackers, cheese, pate, crisps etc.

ihatethecold · 21/12/2017 12:40

Roast pork and apple rolls with crackling.
It’s become tradition at my BIL’s.

I'm doing a ham and we're having homemade chips - i wanted to do something easy that everyone will eat, and my dp does the chips.

Wishfulmakeupping · 21/12/2017 13:02

Buffet food which will continue Xmas day night and throughout Boxing Day

XmasTreeOhXmasTree · 21/12/2017 13:04

Probably a takeaway.

I would probably do something more Christmassy if I was having guests. What about a buffet?

Scribblegirl · 21/12/2017 13:18

I'm at DMil's this year so it's usually picky food.

At my parents we always have a seafood buffet - basically all the yummy prawn, salmon, crab bits from M&S with crusty bread and salad. I love it possibly more than actual Christmas Dinner

blueskyinmarch · 21/12/2017 13:20

We too have lasagne, garlic bread and salad. Are you one of my family namechangefriday?

SingingSands · 21/12/2017 13:24

We usually have a Chinese takeaway, which is a weird family tradition!

We’re with in laws this year so probs a buffet type affair as will be quite a crowd of us.

youngestisapsycho · 21/12/2017 13:26

Chinese takeaway always on Xmas eve...

AceyMcLaughlin · 21/12/2017 13:30

It’s my birthday Xmas eve and the kids want buffet food so we will have that - on paper plates to save washing up!

Alicetherabbit · 21/12/2017 13:31

Cooked meats and cheeses. My favourite and I've been on a diet.

letsdolunch321 · 21/12/2017 13:32

PickleSarnie · 21/12/2017 13:33
