Just that really, which day are you going to brave it on?

Waitrose 7.30am yesterday was fine, not too crowded - until I was leaving the car park Grin.

GogoGobo · 22/12/2017 09:41

Turkey being delivered today, ocado and Riverford deliveries Saturday am and then I am going to M and S Sat am for a few bits. We are hosting foodie people for 4 days!

DoneAdulting · 22/12/2017 09:47

Morrison's was busy at 7:30 this morning and full car park when I left at 8:30. This is Skipton though so I think it's busier than it should be as Aldi is closed due to yesterday's incident Sad

speakout · 22/12/2017 09:51

Just back from ASDA- was quiet and lots of stuff left.

Taffeta · 22/12/2017 09:52

Had first of two Ocado deliveries. One sub and one thing missing. Neither important, no drama.

Let’s see what tomorrow’s delivery brings...

BlackPeppercorn · 22/12/2017 10:06

Reporting in for Tesco Ashford.
Ghost town at 7 this morning. Went straight through with today's list, then straight through the petrol station too. Back indoors by 7.36. But I am shopping with very organised lists, I know that shop inside out, and I have no DC with me.
Bet it's chaos by now though.

Wingingit321 · 22/12/2017 10:08

Just got back. Wasn’t too busy. Did get there for 8am though

BiddyPop · 22/12/2017 10:44

I got my online order from Supervalu delivered last night - everything in it and no subs. So everything for the weekend sorted, and all the fruit and veg for Christmas. And beer.

I got to Leonidas last night, so nice chocs are bought.

I got to the cheesemonger this morning, so most of the cheeseboard sorted and the cured meats for 24th.

Now, I need to get back to the actual SV shop on Saturday to collect my turkey. I will be spending 2.5 hours bag packing in another supermarket first (Dunnes), so may get the chocolate I need for cooking and any last minute milk, etc there, or in SV.

And this afternoon, I will get the party nibbles and some prawns/squid rings in M&S before leaving the city centre for almost 2 full weeks!!!!!

Oh, and somewhere along the line, I need to get some smoked salmon - but most places sell nice versions these days.

tigercub50 · 22/12/2017 10:51

Forgot to book a slot so doing the main shop today at Asda. Turkey crown being collected from the butchers on Christmas Eve.

maddiemookins16mum · 22/12/2017 11:13

Had a delivery on Wednesday. Just back from ASDA where I got some last minute bits (and four fresh chickens for £1.08 pence each, they've got in our 25 year old chest freezer in the garage).
Popping out to take DD to a sleepover at her friends tonight and going to the farm shop to get veg on the way back.
That's it, I'm done.

I've been buying stuff since the end of October - by that I mean each week I'd pop something in my trolley for Christmas ranging from some bottles of lemonaide, cans of cider, cartons of cranberry juice and crackers for cheese.

maddiemookins16mum · 22/12/2017 11:15

Blackpeppercorn, I was at Ashford ASDA (but mainly because I hate Junction 10 of the M20).

kally195 · 22/12/2017 11:29

Aldi Hythe Saturday morning... Parking will be the biggest issue. M&S foodhall in Ashford tonight after the cinema. Probably some random bits at various supermarkets today in Folkestone that I can't get in Aldi. Not going anywhere near traditional Christmas food mind you!

Aebj · 22/12/2017 11:31

Saturday after work

Roomba · 22/12/2017 11:37

I think everyone in Lancaster is currently in Sainsburys here! Had to nip in as DS needed a wee as we were passing earlier - took us about 20 mins to push through the crowd to the loos! He almost didn't make it.

RedRobin87 · 22/12/2017 13:14

Tesco delivering tonight. Then will pop into store on Sunday if we have forgotten anything.

Lovemusic33 · 22/12/2017 13:20

I went to Tesco at 6am, there was a few other early risers doing the same but it wasn’t busy and was able to take my time. They had plenty of everything in stock. Spent a fortune, I’m now looking in my fridge wondering what I’m going to eat between now and Christmas other than chocolate, cheese and crisps.

Vitalogy · 22/12/2017 15:14

Asda was heaving this lunch time. Tesco wasn't so bad but had ran out of sprouts.

torthecatlady · 22/12/2017 15:43

I drove passed Tesco at lunch time today and the traffic was horrendous. If I recall, it was really quiet on Christmas Eve last year.

BearSoFair · 22/12/2017 15:58

Just back from doing ours. Sainsburys aisles not too busy but quite long queues.

Babababababybel23 · 22/12/2017 16:01

I did mine yesterday. Wasn't too bad. But I had to pop to asda this morning for a gift card I forgot. It was mayhem. Trolleys full everywhere. People must have to feed the five thousand. I queued for an hour for a ten pound gift card. I stuck it out because I know it will be worse tomorrow

Madbengalmum · 22/12/2017 16:26

Very relaxing this morning at 9am in Tesco, no queues, loads of stock.

Just had my Sainsbury’s delivered , no substitutions although apparently I was the only one tonight .

ItsNachoCheese · 22/12/2017 22:36

My local tesco was hell on earth at 3pm this afternoon. The shop was rammed full and much to ds's rage the self scan remotes werent working. He was raging 😂 so was i tbh as it keeps him amused and me sane. Fifteen min wait at the checkout... ffs the shops are only shut christmas day lol

calzone · 22/12/2017 22:52

🙈it’s just a roast dinner 🙈

KimchiLaLa · 22/12/2017 23:14

I had my Asda order delivered on weds. The had run out of buratta (which I wanted for the cheeseboard I'm doing) plus own brand honey roasted peanuts, which made me annoyed. Other than that ok.
