Just that really, which day are you going to brave it on?

Delivery coming on Thursday, picking up cake in store Saturday morning followed by greencrocers for veg etc, then Sunday morning taking DDs out for coffee/hot choc and will get pastries to take home for Christmas Day breakfast.

Local baker, while they do very good bread, don’t do anything as exotic as a pan a chocolate.

popcornpaws · 20/12/2017 00:03

Sainsbury order coming tomorow, all fresh food from m and s on thurs.
We already have a box with tins of biscuits, chocs, shortbread, cheese crackers, crisps etc stashed away.

BarbaraofSevillle · 20/12/2017 05:50

We're stocked up with non perishables and frozen stuff and don't need much anyway (no DCs and we're going to SILs for Christmas Day and DP is working quite a bit between Christmas and New Year).

I will be going to Morrisons very early Saturday am (they open at 6 and I aim to be there before 7) for last minute fresh stuff.

Don't forget that (except Scotland) it's Sunday hours for Christmas Eve so no Christmas Eve dawn raids possible this year.

chaplin1409 · 20/12/2017 05:58

I will do mine Friday morning. Meat is being delivered Friday from butchers. I normally shop on a Thursday but can't this week as my daughter has a presentation afternoon.

LordSugarWillSeeYouNow · 20/12/2017 05:59

Saturday night Grin

Parker231 · 20/12/2017 06:35

All done online - haven’t been in a supermarket since October! Cook delivery arrives Friday and Tesco’s on Saturday.

fromtheshires · 20/12/2017 09:54

I am so lucky in the fact we aren't in over Christmas.

I remember one year my mum needing milk on Christmas Eve and my dad took nearly an hour and a half. The store is 3 mins away!

My parents and in laws are fab at planning and both have spare freezers so thy stock up at the start of November apart from the stuff that won't last long enough. It makes going in a cupboard for food like being a kid. "Can I eat X?" "No it's for Christmas"

I ccan uldnt think of anything worse than either going shopping right now or ordering online and getting everything substituted. I would be the one who orders a chicken and gets chicken nuggets!

I would to ask if this groceries list is fine and if i am missing anything.I domt wamt anything to go wrong.

Ps english is not my first language so sorry for the spelling mistakes

Chienrouge · 20/12/2017 10:07

Amira21 that’s a lot of food... how many of you are there?! You’ll be eating chocolate and nibbles for weeks.
We don’t really do a special Christmas food shop tbh. Chucked some goose fat and a panettone in the trolley last week. DH will pick the venison up from the butchers on Friday. We don’t tend to buy chocolate as someone will generally buy us some for Christmas. Otherwise just fruit/veg etc and some nice cheese.

Doobydoo · 20/12/2017 10:09

Saturday....eek

FELICITYFLISS · 20/12/2017 10:12

For the first time ever, I am having my Christmas shop delivered on Saturday. Worth every penny not to have to get up at the crack of dawn to fight over the last bloody loaf or the last feckin lettuce.

BarbaraofSevillle · 20/12/2017 10:13

Yes, there's no cheese on the list. If you eat cheese, you need some.

Bendyandtheinkmachine · 20/12/2017 10:14

Friday (payday)

longtompot · 20/12/2017 10:15

Hmm, we were going to do ours on Thursday, but it seems the whole country is!

Kim82 · 20/12/2017 10:18

First thing Friday morning as I need to wait until dh gets paid. I’m planning on leaving the dc at home (16 year old will be in charge) then doing a quick dash round Aldi as soon as it opens.

PasDeDeux · 20/12/2017 10:19

Saturday morning.

StewPots · 20/12/2017 10:19

Got most of the meat yesterday, cheeses etc but working 8-8 tomorrow and Friday so may venture out for more bits tonight and finish off Saturday.

It'll mainly be booze, crap and veg though!

8mileeminem · 20/12/2017 10:24

Got a Tesco delivery tonight with it all

MaverickSnoopy · 20/12/2017 10:25

We did our big one Saturday gone which included all dry stuff and long lasting veg/cheese/meat. We do it then as it's much quieter than before the mad rush.

We'll do our fresh this Saturday. We have historically done our fresh shop the day before Christmas eve and it's always never been crazily busy, we'd get everything then if we didn't have other plans. Just got to get things like cured meats, cream, chestnuts etc and then we're done.

Presents wrapped and house clean/tidy...just waiting for the kids to trash it now.

blamethecat · 20/12/2017 10:31

Waitrose delivery tonight, hopefully everything will be in it I ordered.
Ham, Beef and veg being delivered form local farm shop Friday evening.

ProseccoandPizza · 20/12/2017 10:32

Tesco click and collect Thursday night.
Asda massive click and collect Friday night.
Sainsbury’s dash Friday to get more Clementine Buck’s Fizz.
Morrisons food to order collection Saturday morning.
Sainsbury’s order delivery booked in for 30th

happymummy12345 · 20/12/2017 10:38

Probably Friday, as its the only day dh is off between now and Christmas.

FurryDogMother · 20/12/2017 10:41

Ocado delivered most of the booze yesterday. Tesco are delivering the food on Saturday. No stress!

wonkylegs · 20/12/2017 10:46

I did it yesterday - I always shop on a Monday so I did most of it then, I will pick up the turkey from farm on Friday and do a top up shop (milk, bread, pork pies & salad) on Friday afternoon when I pop in to get my prescription.
Some stuff is in the freezer, otherwise I checked all the dates and it should all be good.
It was still quite manic yesterday even though there's a week to go.
