I've just been turfed off a broken train. It's -5 out here. I'm cold!

Oh no Fluffy! How close to your destination are you? Are they sending alternative transport or do you have to wait and squeeze on to the next train?

We have a snow day - and looking at the temperatures for overnight I am anticipating another one tomorrow ❄️

I have a snow day too! Have just text my boss to let him know I can't get to the office to find out neither can he or half my team.

So, new plan for today, finish crocheting my clue for dnephews present (it's a little trip away so am making a clue so he has something to open), wrap my last 3 presents (one toy, one hat and the clue) then pack away all wrapping stuff, paint my nails (going for sparkly silver) and enjoy! Oh and might have to walk to town as I need to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy but dreading that with this cough / cold.

For Christmas, only things left to do are hand deliver some cards, give my mum a hint on what to get me as she keeps asking, and sort clothes for New York! 🎄🎄

I was 3 stops away. I got there about 20 minutes' later than usual. Brrrr!

Another (manic) week over, and a new one just begun.....(to the tune of "War is over")

No snow here, although it's not too far away (the hill we see from the house is covered, I can see it out my office window, and DH saw lots from the train yesterday but origin and destination both near the sea so clear). Lots of ice this morning. We've decided I will wait until tomorrow morning to drive down rather than after DD's hockey match late this afternoon (family funeral tomorrow).

Things are slowly falling into place. I have a new list of the remaining presents I must get. I was up until 2am to try and wrap things to bring with me tomorrow (we won't be down again before 25th, so the bags will discretely be hidden in a wardrobe). School fair successfully navigated, sailing is now finished as well until February so all the gear needs a good wash later in the week. No Xmas jumpers fit me (diet has failed utterly) but DH won't moan if I "forget" to wear them.

I have the overseas cards to drop in a postbox today. Then watch DD's match, see what formal dress fits me for tomorrow, and pack an overnight bag (just in case the weather means we need to stop somewhere). At least it is a bright sunny day to be cheerful in !

Great news on the Snow days hope they pay you both! .
Have been busy too, shopping for Christmas food, picking up a parcel the turkey crowns ,a Pannetone and a stollen all the cheeses and most importantly THE BOOZE lol.

Can't believe how quick it's coming round now and I've still got lots to do!

Helped out at the school fayre last week until ds finished at 3pm and he didn't want to stay.

Had annual leave today to watch ds in his year 6 carol concert and he refused to take part. In all fairness though he's been saying for weeks he didn't want to take part so no great surprise! Also he had a little fall in school today so while he was being checked over in the head's office the headmistress tried to talk him into joining in. But still no. He ended up sitting with me and dh in the audience watching lol.

I'm in work tomorrow and Wednesday, Thursday ds has a hospital appointment. Friday we were planning a get together with friends but think it will tire ds too much so not sure about that. Saturday ds has a birthday party to go to at 9 flipping am. He's a nightmare in the mornings so that will be fun. Then Monday ds and me are off to London for the day, another early start which he won't be happy about! I think Tuesday he will be recovering from London and have a day off school.

Still got lots of wrapping to do.

So much to do, so little time, so little sleep!

Almost single figures!

Early start for me today (and until I finish for Christmas) as we are doing overtime due to an influx of work!

Yesterday was cold. This was the station car park and my Christmas jumper

I made mince pies and scandi style cardamom shortbread yesterday, back in the office now booo

Fluffy it was the top floor and the slope down was the same. They had a salt bin at the top but it was padlocked...

DD1 coming home from Uni on Thursday done loads of cleaning and decluttering in her room I can't wait to see her and have her home for Christmas. Stray cat has a bad ear again he let me clean it though bless him. I would take him to the vets but I am afraid he will just go nuts and when we get back home disappear again. He seems fine in himself though I will keep an eye on him . Went for a walk and it was lethal out there . Hope all feeling better ,take care all , not long now .

Wrapping day today

Bloody hell, Woolly, you just beat me to it!

I really need to start doing a bit of wrapping each day. Would really help I think

I'm so glad I've already done mine as with the overtime at work and having to (for my sake, work hasn't asked me to) cancel Friday's leave, I don't know when I'd fit it in!

I haven't done any wrapping! It's impossible with the dc.

I have one thing to buy and wrap, a hendricks gin miniature, to go with a hendricks teacup I got at a car boot sale.

I also have to buy for DP so far I have got him

A box of cadbury fudge
A selection box
A mug
A tub of white hot chocolate
A rugby shirt

Need to get him one or two other big things £40-50 each and then a few more bits and bobs for stocking and after dinner...

We've done ours at night, Wreck!

I'm thankfully too busy to twitch also, which is good.
