My link if you want to use it- I get a referral fee.

I think the Topcashback thread on sponsored threads may be offering a joining incentive if you would rather use that.

BBTHREE76 · 17/09/2017 17:46

I don't post often but just wanted to say thanks - I needed a big present for my DH (to go with stocking fillers already bought) and a big present for my nephew. The Amazon echo and dot deal for £129 from Very has sorted both.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 17/09/2017 17:51

Does anyone know if Aspinal of London every do any reductions/sale? I've been given a beautiful purse from there that my dad is insanely jealous of and I'd so love to get him a wallet from there but £90 with no reduction is making me swear Grin

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 17/09/2017 17:52

Sweat! And swear Wink

StrawberryStar · 17/09/2017 18:02

Someone mentioned the Cheshire oaks build a bear on the last thread, they have most of the current stock with 30% off. Well worth heading there if you can.

For cashback sites I use both Quidco and topcash back and I've found them both to be good especially as pp said with insurance. It's very easy to use, well as long as I remember.

Also looking for Lego bargains.

Re harry potter Lego, DD 10 has the castle, its not worth mega money in her opinion, play opportunities are not as good as with other sets

buckeejit · 17/09/2017 18:21

debbiewest0 · 17/09/2017 18:27

The girl who saved Christmas

hardback book £2.75 on Amazon prime free delivery.
No idea how to do links but I just searched for it and there it was. Nice story I'm going to bring out at beginning of advent to read with kids. Make a nice gift too.

Rockhopper81 · 17/09/2017 18:34

Mayathebee - Harry Potter was discontinued as a Lego theme a while ago now, so you're unlikely to find it in stores. Unfortunately, it's also a super collectible theme, so a lot of people on eBay will be selling the HP kits for a fair bit of money (as they'd have bought them to sell at a later date, knowing they were guaranteed to make money on their purchase price).

eBay is a good bet, but be prepared to have to look regularly and pay quite a lot for it. I would consider Lego HP a display item more so than having a great deal of play value, in all honesty - I think it's cool, but I'm an adult who has Lego kits for their coolness and displays them! Wink

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/09/2017 18:53

Re cash back sites kidstart do Amazon (2% I think) but better than nowt

Looking for some inspiration/advice...
My ds (4) loves fireman sam, drawing, anything crafty. He has loads of Lego, will be 5 in November.
Trying to think of a main santa gift. Already have an assortment of fireman sam toys for his bday. Spent a while this afternoon perusing toy mags - the only thing achieved was confirmation of his love for fireman Sam!! 🚒🙄
He can't yet ride a bike and already has balance bike/trike. He's not fussed on my suggestions of a bike with pedals!
Have seen these but don't know if he'd be too old?? Anyone any experience of them or any other suggestions?? Thanks in advance!!

Finally got hold of some Christmas rubber ducks at a reasonable price! £2 (I think, maybe it was £3 - I was too excited to take much notice) for 3 from the works!

Also had some great Christmas activity things in - picked up a pack of 'colour in' placemats (x4) & coasters (x4) for £1.50 I think it was.

Llamacorn · 17/09/2017 19:16

@mayathebee I've been after HP Lego for my dd for a long time, unfortunately it's discontinued and as a collectible item it sells for stupid money. I want the big castle, I did buy a little set from amazon but sadly it was a fake (and I paid over the odds for it too!)
I wish they'd bring HP Lego back, especially seeing how popular Harry Potter merch is.
I saw an awesome Harry Potter charm bracelet on EMP for dd2, it has slider charms like the pandoras and it's much cheaper on amazon - she'll love it. They also do really sweet HP earrings set.

In regards to fingerlings - my dd3 bought one for £15 when they came out, they don't do much except from hang from things, they're quite hard and make little noises but my dd loves it just the same, she's made it a little bed and plays with it pretty regularly (she does love monkeys though!) I wouldn't really recommend for £15, but for £9, definitely grab one.

IceCreamIceCream · 17/09/2017 19:17

Does anyone have any ideas for a 3.5 year old? Isn't allowed any TV so not sure what to get themes wise!

Someaddedsugar · 17/09/2017 19:30

Enchantimals are currently 25% off in Argos.
Just reserved the Playhouse for DD2 - she wrote her Christmas/Birthday list (bday is on 23rd December) this afternoon and Enchantimals featured a lot!
