I am so tempted by that lego-style drone kit for DD, but I'm guessing that 7 would be too young to be able to fly it properly?

People with bungee bouncers, what age are they suitable for? I'm wondering about getting one for my boy's 4th birthday.

VoldemortsNipple · 21/09/2017 22:14

Wornout How about a cheap smartphone for his final present. A quick look on Amazon shows some for around the £40 mark. My sister bought one for dn when he was about 8. He doesn't have any credit but is delighted he can make calls or send messages over WhatsApp to his family and take photos, and loves all the free games. I understand you're worried about screen time but as it's small, it's something you could still have control over how much he uses it.

Can anyone advise me on using the Amazon dot as a speaker. I'm wondering whether to get my dcs them or Bluetooth speakers for there phones

Redken24 · 21/09/2017 22:34

Sock I'm not sure if I'm honest? It's a pretty simple remote tho 😀 and if your on facebook, you can message the shop there really good at responding - even now sending me videos of products (waaay to rich for me 😂) I'd definitely buy it for my ss who is 9.

@TellMeItsNotTrue for toddler DC superhero girls, Asda have them on offer. They are £15 instead of £25. I bought one and then had to work out who for. Also had to hide as both my DDs would fall in love. Not sure if online as bought in store (offset the lack of Playmobil Hospital).

I thought of this thread when Dd2 asked for a giant cuddly unicorn. She couldn't understand why I kept calling it Robert and pointed out it was the very last year. Nor was she put off when we pointed out her room was so small the unicorn would fill the whole thing up.

Fancythat69 - What Harry Potter bits did you buy?

buckeejit · 22/09/2017 00:00

For pp looking a smartphone-my 7 yo ds has an old iPhone of his Granda's - no sim but his other granda has an ancient phone (not a smartphone) so uses that phone no for WhatsApp to message lots of family folk & loves it, no bills to worry about. If this was an option you could always get a old phone & keep the sim in it in a bedside drawer or something? Old iPhones that are still Really great kit are pretty cheap on eBay/gumtree

Just wanted to say thanks for all the bargains so far! I got my stash out and sorted it all today and updated my spreadsheet!

I just wanted to add that i signed up to flavourly Gin club with code list16 and got my first box for £18ish. It contains 3 small bit good size (nothing like miniatures) unusual gins, posh mixers and a snack. I then may have signed up with 3 different emails to get the offer a few more times and will be making gift bags with a bottle of gin, mixer and poppaballs for my gin loving friends gifts and some teachers. I can post a picture of what you get if anyone is interested. Oh and cancelled all the subscriptions except one as I loved it

I'm worried the Fingerling ordered from Amazon is going to be a fake Confused

janed9388 · 22/09/2017 06:48

I'm just looking at the Fingerlings on Amazon now and wondering if they are fake ! Not sure whether to order or not. When is it due to arrive ?

Blu123 · 22/09/2017 06:53

SheStood I have 3 Fingerlings in my Amazon basket and I keep changing my mind on whether to buy them. They are £8 each, which does seem very cheap compared to everywhere else. I wonder if they've gone down in price so much because the new range of glittery Fingerlings with blankies are due out end of Sept, so they have discounted the old ones?

Please let us know if they are real or fake!
