Am I missing something- that Death Star Lego is £399.99 if you follow the link to Smyths woodwaj?

Do you mean you want it for £400 less 20%?

Badders08 · 20/09/2017 08:49

Try very and get 20% off as a new customer??

Badders08 · 20/09/2017 08:51

Oh sorry very doesnt stock it
Is it only some stores that sell it?

debbiewest0 · 20/09/2017 09:02

Anybody know if you can use your big birthday code at early learning with their 3for2. I used my code last week and now it's 3for2 I'm cross. I'm trying to work out how much I lost out on money wise. Thanks

Ratbagcatbag I had no idea what it was, I know DD has asked for an LOL dol a few times when we've been out but I've steered her towards more shopkins because they are so expensive! So she doesn't actually have any LOL dolls at all, but I know she will love it and if she doesn't she's dead to me at that price!!

On the Smyths site there's really nothing about the big surprise at all, and the picture doesn't really depict how big it is! I found a YouTube video of a little girl opening one and it's only when you see it next to a 6 year old you realise how big it is!!

I know DD will love it, but am worried that it cost so much and I hate the thought that it might be greatly reduced before Christmas so I hope I did the right thing by pre-ordering it. Had to get a Hatchimal brought back from the US last year so trying to avoid that sort of shenanigans this year Xmas Grin

Ratbagcatbag · 20/09/2017 09:33

Thanks macnab. My dd adores the LOL dolls, so I'm going to wait for them to come back in stock and get one. :)

SockEatingMonster · 20/09/2017 09:38

Not really a bargain at £16.99, but I ordered my DC these StampyLongNose onesies from the Pyjama Factory on Amazon and they absolutely adore them. They've been coming home from school and changing into them.

They have an eBay shop too, if the size you need is sold out.

Size up though, as they are baggy but not very long. 7 year old DD is in the 9-10 and nearly-9 year old DS is in the 11-12.

Gooseysgirl · 20/09/2017 09:44

L'Occitane flash sale, up to 50% off - get in there quick! If you spend over £45 there's a free gift of a pampering box, code PAMPERING. Just got teachers and crèche staff gifts in one fell swoop Smile

SunSeptember · 20/09/2017 09:55

Its a right of passage unicorn, every one finds them at some point, I am afraid you have to hide them harder.

Dh never did xmas morning and was always lazy about hiding them! I have to make him put them far away up in the attic Grin

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 20/09/2017 09:57

Does anyone know when M&S are likely to have their Christmas section?

On a related note, need to get ds2 a stocking but don't like anything I see on John Lewis, White Company, Matalan, NOTHS. Am I missing anywhere?!

starlight36 · 20/09/2017 10:03

JoJo Maman Bebe usually have a range of stockings and Christmas sacks.
Quite a few of the independent garden centres also usually have big Christmas sections.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 20/09/2017 10:06

Both brill ideas thanks star!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 20/09/2017 10:15

unicorn oh no, how old are they? I hope it hasn't wrecked Christmas or santa belief if he brings big presents in your house

Labracadabra · 20/09/2017 10:16

Hi everyone, I'm on the lookout for new Christmas stockings this year - good quality and decent size. Any recommendations? Thanks

Badders08 · 20/09/2017 10:18

My boys stockings are from John Lewis
Not particularly bargainous though...

DillieDoily · 20/09/2017 10:32

TellMeItsNotTrue · 20/09/2017 10:34

I don't know if it will work for everyone but looks like it will - Tinc has sent me a 10% off code TINCTREAT

margaritasbythesea · 20/09/2017 10:35

Oh God! Unicorn! Nightmare.

FWIW After a similar but smaller incident, the kids now know where I hide stuff (birthday stuff - they still beieve in Santa). They also know stuff comes all year as I am a baragin hunter. I have told them that if anything is taken from the cupboard I will take it straight downstairs and put it in the charity donation box- Lickily we have one at the bottom of our flat! Nothing has happened yet.

Might head off someone else´s disaster.

What are you going to do?

Aworldofmyown · 20/09/2017 10:37

If anyones little kids like Blaze and the Monster Machines I've just bought this from Asda, cheapest Ive found.

margaritasbythesea · 20/09/2017 10:37

Luckily not lickily

Trollspoopglitter · 20/09/2017 10:40

Can someone explain to me the allure of the LOL dolls? I saw the video on the big surprise and it just looks like a huge waste of plastic tat to package very small plastic dolls. Why do kids love these? Is it the surprise element of opening up the balls? I really hate the idea of all that plastic and £60?!! I'm wondering what the appeal is and if it's the opening of the plastic balls, whether I can recreate it with other toys. I have lots of those type of plastic arcade tat balls saved up, so I'm thinking a my little pony version or maybe even a barbie accessory version

christmasunicorn · 20/09/2017 10:41

itsnice they are 8 and 5. Nothing was wrapped, they were still in boxes that I hadn't even opened yet so I said they were for their birthdays. I think they were too guilty to say anything more about it. I'm gutted but also mostly pleased that they loved them as much as I thought they would. They were awesome gifts.
Time to start again though.

macnab · 20/09/2017 10:43

With regards to the thread title - I actually would like to buy a pug hoodie! I have read through the thread but can't find any link to it. Anyone?
