I have a stack of cards in my work rucksack with me for the plane. If I can stay awake after yesterday's hiking/hosteling with Cubs! It was a good trip though, fine weather and great behaviour.

I've run out of cards, so my bag is overhead for flight 2, (including my second bottle of milk post -security, As I had to re-do that in transit😡 I just want a proper cup of tea in the hotel!!). Oh well, if I can't be productive, I may as well drink wine and dream🙃

I love those! I was going to do some crochet today, but ended up in hospital having my ripped intercostal muscles checked and then on tramdol and naproxen.

I have watched Love Actually, placed an order for Christmas party food for the family Christmas party we are having mid-December (I'll have to slide the delivery date when I can). I've just ordered some science experiment kits for my nephews for Christmas, The Works had then on two for £10 and 25% off.

Honestly no idea, might have been wrestling Gabriel into the pushchair on the school run! There was nothing specific, but I have had a chest infection for weeks so it could be related to that.

Annoyingly I got all my hours done by Friday so that I could craft this weekend and have not been able to do anything!

Tshirt from elsies attic arrived and It fits like a dream and it is super cute!

I wore it to the NEC crafts for Christmas show yesterday! I still have so much to get and no wrapping paper! I cannot understand how I have become so disorganised this year!!!

DH and I were saying that now my birthday is over with we just want it to be December and the run up to Christmas! We have so much fun stuff planned that we can't wait!

I couldn't sleep so I was going over my menu for the family Christmas party.

The party is on the 10th December, SIL is bringing her boyfriend who is Italian and will be going home for Christmas so won't have a traditional British Christmas. The main event of the table is a make your own turkey sandwich bar :) I buy a frozen crown and cook that, a small ham, stuffing (fairly squidgy for spreadin) and pigs in blankets. I then put out some lovely fresh bread and cranberry sauce and people can go to town. I'm also going to make Thai sausagerolls (sausagemeat is jazzed up with peanutbutter, sweet chilli sauce and sesame seeds on top), lamb kofte puffs, mini chorizo fritatas, pinwheels (salami, ketchup and cream cheese in a palmier) and BLT rice paper rolls with avocado dip. I have a range of gluten free and dairy free people so need things I can make for everyone and can create a dairy free version of.

For pudding we are having a pandoro (first time I'll be making that), a yule log (nigella) shortbread and mince pies (I'll freeze them and only get out a few).

The idea is people graze over a few hours. DH thinks it is too much food, so I might dump the fritatas. There will be crudites and humus and crisps and dip too.

Totally stealing the idea of a turkey sandwich bar!

We are having and "apres skii" themed party for our uni, school and college friends on the 2nd, food was all planned but I am having last min reservations and might change my mind.

IT was such a hit, dh likes just turkey and salt I his, I like mine a tower of everything. It was an easy way to feed lots of people in an interesting way. Last year I bought one of the turkey parcels from Aldi and it worked well. Kids are all eating more this year and we have an extra adult so a frozen crown will be the thing.

Hope all ok been to Primark today and bought some very nice stuff for DD, a gorgeous knitted mustard coloured snood that I thought if she doesn't want this then it is mine all mine mwah hahaha
she loved it lol serves me right ..........
Is it me or is Mustard yellow the in colour for this Winter? only am seeing it everywhere I really like it too .

CBeebies, I think I can wait another week. Just!

Hairspray I often spend most of the year reining in my Christmas enthusiasm so end up being behind schedule.
I bought the Kellogg advent calendar for DS yesterday so(apart from the M&s one for me), calendars are done. Next I need to check cards and wrapping paper in the loft.
I went to Costco last week and only added a panettone to my trolley but I have bought some speculoos biscuits from waitrose's Christmas range ( they were delicious- I had to eat most of the box to ensure this wasn't a misleading first impression).

Ooh...I picked up 2 bags of lebkuchen in Aldi at the weekend. I almost went for 3 but showed some restraint! 😂

I bought some of those cheese savoury shapes and a bag of cranberries for baking with too. My cupboards are full of snacks and ingredients! 😂

I also picked up some M&S food to order from their standard range (chicken pieces, quiches and mini pies) to put in the freezer so I don't have to think about it again!

I'm almost too prepared (sorry, Hairspray) and getting twitchy as I've not got enough left to do to keep me occupied!

I also have a ton of M&S biscuits! 🙈
