That dress is lovely, MrsM! I'm not usually a fan of browns on clothing, but it looks really nice with the navy blue background!
You're going to have to keep on your toes once the tree goes up, OhOur. Mine has always been on top of a small chest of drawers in the front bay window. DS started cruising at 9 months just so he could reach it... and he was worse last year, to the point that I daren't put any baubles on it where he could reach, and it was tied to the wall with string around the curtain hooks...
This year, he has one of the felt ones from Hobbycraft, and a 2 foot one I got from Asda years ago for £1, but lost the legs when we moved. I found them whilst Kondo-ing the house earlier this year, so he can have that and some soft baubles, which will hopefully keep him away from my tree!
We're getting so close now! I've only my dad's last present to buy, and then I'm done. I've wrapped some of the adult presents, but have demanded DH get in the loft and bring everything down this weekend for me to sort.
There are only 8 weekends until Christmas, and we're away for 4 of them, one is Christmas decorating weekend, and one is Christmas Eve weekend. I want everything wrapped and sorted by the end of next weekend.
I've started trialling new Christmas baking recipes as well. Tomorrow we plan to give Jamie Oliver's chocolate orange shortbread a try. I'll let you all know how we get on when we emerge from our sugar coma
