@TheWoollybacksWife Harrogate Christmas market is nice, but extremely busy. It's packed into quite a small area for the size of the market and is rammed! Lovely spot for it though, and the mulled wine is lovely! It's just down from Betty's 😊. It's got some of the lovely wooden chalet type stalls which makes it even more lovely, especially at might. Not quite as lovely as Chester , but lovely all the same!

stumblymonkeyagain · 22/08/2017 19:41

Hi all....I have found my people (elves?)!!!

I'm about halfway through our Christmas shopping

We're getting married on the 1st December so Christmas is EXTRA exciting this year as our wedding will officially kick off the Christmas party season.

...and since I'm known for my Christmas love we will be having lots of Christmas trees with lights on, mulled wine and Christmassy favours (gingerbread people, etc).

It's all seemed a long way off until this last week and now it seems pretty close! Grin

stumblymonkeyagain · 22/08/2017 19:51

Oh...today's Christmas purchase was one of those silly 'How To Be A Good Husband' books for DP's stocking since it will be our first Christmas.

I might highlight certain bits of it Grin

Currently considering purchasing some board games inspired by this thread...I've heard Pandemic is a good two player game (we don't have DC yet) and exploding kittens sounds right up my crazy cat lady street.

Also about to look up good stockists of those candied orange peels dipped in choc. If it wasn't wedding planning season I'd make them myself but I'll be busy making billions of favours I think.

I've also realised that we're already booked up every single weekend day in December Shock

Fluffy socks have come out! There's a chill in the air...weather is certainly turning!

Fridge we're in your neck of the woods, about 20 minutes to the south Grin

We went to my sister's house this afternoon for a cuppa and ended up planning activities for Christmas Eve and the big day so at least we're organised! And we have to plan presents for my dad as he's a pain in the arse to buy for.

BiddyPop · 22/08/2017 22:16

Fluffy, I'll post it when I get back to civilisation.

Remind me if I don't!

NoWordForFluffy · 22/08/2017 22:19

How's the weather, Biddy?

And TIA re the recipe!

SideOrderofSprouts · 22/08/2017 22:38

It's been 29 here. Still 21 now

I am now
On strike.

TheWoollybacksWife · 22/08/2017 22:41

Who's upset you Sprouts? Flowers

FridgeCut · 22/08/2017 22:52

Ah mumsnetters of the Shires :)

I am waiting to book Waddesdon tickets, they keep changing the release date so now will be released while I am in France, grr!

SideOrderofSprouts · 22/08/2017 23:42

It's too hot for me woolly. And dh has been laid low with a stomach bug all day in and out of the toilet. So been entertaining the kids

On the plus side I start my job in less than two weeks!

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/08/2017 00:00

I hope he recovers soon and the temperature drops a bit too. The shoe is on the other foot here. DH is having to do everything - he is even having to pull my jeans up after I've had a wee. I would wear something a bit more suitable but I'm sporting a fetching pair of compression stockings that would look hideous with a skirt! Thankfully he can work from home and my job is term time so there isn't too much disruption.

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/08/2017 00:01

Oh and 123 🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 23/08/2017 06:08

That's love for you, Woolly!

Are you excited about your job, Sprouts? I'm waiting for a release date from work as I've asked to be allowed to finish sooner than my contractual 3 months' notice. Hopefully I'll find out once I'm back in the office on Friday.

I'm currently on a bus heading to the airport to go to a gig in Belfast. I'm hoping the field it's being held at drains / dries well as it's been monsoon season overnight!

www.coxandcox.co.uk/christmas/

Practically drooling at the wrapping papers!

MrsPworkingmummy · 23/08/2017 08:37

@HairsprayBabe Just spent a lovely 20 minutes having a relaxing cuppa and pining over the Cox and Cox range Grin

SideOrderofSprouts · 23/08/2017 08:37

I am
Really excited about going back to work!

Now I've woken up with a blocked ear and ear ache Sad

Minster2012 · 23/08/2017 09:38

Should not have looked at cox & cox link 🙈☹️

HairsprayBabe · 23/08/2017 09:45

Sorry all Xmas Grin

I just spent £40 on ribbon and paper Xmas Blush

cookiefiend · 23/08/2017 09:52

Just about spent loads on beautiful wrapping paper, but the £.5.95 delivery caused me to pause and I have not backed slowly away from that beautiful website.

Nothing else will compare now...

TealStar · 23/08/2017 10:49

I bought all this year's Cox and Cox wrap and ribbons in the January sales (gloat Grin)

NoWordForFluffy · 23/08/2017 11:36

That's gorgeous wrapping paper! But even with the 20% discount for new customers it's rather steep!

I hope your ear is better soon, Sprouts.

FridgeCut · 23/08/2017 11:39

When do they start their sale Teal? I always buy up all of PaperChase :)

CbeebiesAddict · 23/08/2017 11:41

It's payday so i just ordered DS' christmas presents. Just a couple of stocking fillers to get now Grin

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 23/08/2017 12:01

I tried so hard to resist clicking on that link but everything on there is so beautiful...Sad
