I saw a house with Christmas lights up last night

Xmas Shock nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Though, whenever I see very early lights, I wonder if the residents are having a Very Early Christmas because someone in the family won't make it till December Sad

I LOVE Christmas, but bloody hell just too early! But, I may of purchased lots of lovely Christmas things today from the Range

Our plans have been thrown in a heap by news over the weekend. So Christmas is still happening but we are now travelling "down home" (concentrating on ILs, but still going to my DPs a lot too) having planned a year to stay put.

It's fine, we'll get organized and enjoy it - just different to my plans. And despite the bleakness that it seemed on Friday, there should be everyone there to enjoy it after all.

Just trying to get my head together again this morning.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/10/2015 18:32

Oh Biddy Sad news (I'm guessing a family member is ill, you don't need to divulge on an open forum)

Hopefully you can re-jig things and come up with a solution for all involved Flowers

It's OK 70s - we still don't know exactly what we're facing in terms of one person's illness, but at least it has been caught and something is being done. We'll know more later in the week.

So we will just start again from here, and make a new plan. This far ahead, that is very do-able.

After torrential rain and the onset of deepest, darkest, chilly winter weather yesterday, I am sweating in a jumper this morning as the temps have risen again and the sun is shining. WHAT is going on with the weather??!!

I was a little late getting into work this morning, so the bookshop was already open. So I delayed a little longer again, and had a few minutes browsing to find the present I wanted for a DNephew. One more tick. Updating budget spreadsheet later today as well.

BiddyPop · 06/10/2015 16:01

After a week of trying to place an order, (failed 9 days ago, waited until 1st Oct for Christmas stuff, failed again and again since!!) - I FINALLY placed my Lego order today for a City Advent Calendar, a couple of small bits for treats, and a police truck. Including a Christmas fridge magnet and a Thanksgiving kitchen complete with turkey and pie!! Xmas Smile

And I'd forgotten that DH gave me a present idea (request) yesterday - so I have some research to do but at least I know what he WANTS. He is in charge of sorting Santa this year - as he has decided DD needs an Xbox Hmm!!

It is now getting to the point where you are almost too late for some things such as making chutney or flavoured spirits Xmas Grin

70 if you spot any good ones let us know where.

I want to get a couple this year Xmas Grin as I heard a rumour that they may not be around next year Shock

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/10/2015 16:23

I think it's still too early Paper there were a couple in Primark, and the Matalan website had "Coming Soon" (I haven't been instore)

I like the Matalan sequin reindeer with baubles in the antlers .
I heard the same about Christmas jumpers not being around . Xmas Sad

Thanks guys for the hugs - much needed and appreciated.

I'm re-working my plans, but found that I actually DO already have a pair of fleecy Christmas PJs for DD - Hooray! So 1 less item to buy. And I actually remembered to send birthday cards in time for 2 DSis's (sent both on the day of 1, and both arrived on the day of 2nd, so both Sis's are happy with me!! For a change!!!).

Haven't been near shops though and will probably do a lot online this year.

Oh - sorry - I WAS in M&S late last week (to grab late lunch) and saw there were a few Christmas jumpers in a corner (not full on display yet). A couple of sequinned robins on 1, a reindeer on another and I think a snowflake was a third. And a few Christmas Pudding hats and other festive outdoor wear. They might have those online too.
