Brace yourselves and form an orderly queue.

XMas clock.com says 357 (plus 14 hours)

Happy New Year to one and all. Hope 2015 is a good one Smile

Grin @ the finding needles. We have a fake tree and it still managed to lose some needles.
Worst offender was the swag and wreath encrusted with tiny square 'ice-crystals' . Everytime it was touched, there was a shower of little plastic cubes to stand in.

Most of my decorations are packed away in the attic again. As usual, I have a box under the bed, because I always miss a few and just pop them in the box. Grin

I am going to be more organised this year, and sort out some things much earlier.

346 Got a few bargain toys from Tesco today and some great crackers and wrapping paper from Asda yesterday so thats all going in the loft until December Xmas Grin

Oh what a stressful, shitty start to the New year! Missing Christmas & the escapism of it all so much.

We have already planned which restaurant we'll be eating in the Christmas day, i've started putting money away for it as well as putting some money on an Asda savings card & some money in a separate bank account for presents/decorations.

Had the best Christmas ever, it was wondeful, although I will tweak a few things to make it more magical in 2015.

It's a dim'n'distant memory now. Back to the real world, work, school, bus strikes ...Hmm

It was my dc3 first Christmas, so although it was just the five of us, we made quite a big effort to make it really nice this year.

And it was. But it all feels so far away now.Back to work and school, bad weather, Norovirus. It's been a tough start to 2015! I still think of Christmas and get this sad sort of nostalgic feeling. Normally I've moved on already and am looking forward to Spring.

I'm grieving for Christmas.

Some of the shops had small displays of Christmas 'bargains' (aka the tat they couldn't sell) and there are still lights up in some places.

DC are excited at the prospect of snow. All the adults, less excited , we know the hassle it brings.

Planning the Easter Tree idly.

We have loads of snow here. My DH took dc's to school in the sledge the other day - dd sang we wish you a merry Christmas the whole way!! They seem to think that will be coming again due to snow.

Paperblank · 18/01/2015 18:50

Not a flake of snow here - bucks - I will admit to being a bit gutted Sad

BiddyPop · 19/01/2015 09:20

There was a flurry of snow up the mountains on Saturday, where DD was attending a birthday party. Lasted about 2 minutes - but the girls were all outdoors on a walk at the time so enjoyed it!

DH started looking at flights last night - to go to visit my DB in Canada just after Christmas this year!! (As in, out on 27th for basically the rest of the Christmas hols). We would visit DB, DSIL and DNiece for a day or 2, but head off into the Rockies as well. (I think he is grudgingly expecting to enjoy our first skiing trip over midterm after all!!).

Lol!! I had spotted the valentine's cards before Christmas. It is highly likely that we'll still have leftover Christmas chocolate at easter. We only finished our Christmas cake off yesterday. I should get on the scales but I'm a bit worried I'm gonna break them Smile

nickdrakeslovechild · 22/01/2015 11:13

336 my LO loves Home Alone, so we are clinging on to some festive spirit by watching that. Xmas Grin

Mmmmmmmmmmm Xmas Envy @Matchmakers (love the orange ones. they used to do coffee. Anyone else really ancient with a good memory who remembers when they were in a long thin box and about 2" long not 5" ) ?

OP posts:
Paperblank · 23/01/2015 07:33

We've still got mint matchmakers, a couple of bags of chocolate money, a terrys chocolate orange and a few other bits left in the Christmas box.

It's like the magic porridge pot, just can't get to the end of it.
