I couldn't give too hoots any more, not after being slated by a bunch of bullies for trying to help my little boy.

I love Christmas. I've made these slippers for part of a hamper. I do a combination of bought and handmade stuff.

I wondered how long it would take until 'vulgar' came out again.

Those slippers look fantastic Nic. I wish I was more crafty!

Thanks Emily, and I suppose all the other threads in the...christmas topic are also vulgar are they? The ones asking what to get where from and so on, the bargain chats, the lists....or does it just upset you in photographic form?

Because I dont think you have reached enough posters on this thread, you must go and spread the word on all the other threads about presents...

So glad there's a thread. I'm trying to work out how to post a photo from my phone, I wouldn't normally post a pic of presents but I think it's quite fun and I don't really care if I spoil my kids one day a year and it doesn't bother me how much or how little others buy, we enjoy Christmas for lots of reasons, the presents are just one of the many things we do to celebrate Christmas.

Nic013 they are gorgeous! I love them, I would love to be able to knit. I made my dm a hamper last year after reading suggestions on here and it went down a treat and look great.

Fun idea for a thread. I'll have to wait until the kids are back in school before I can gather the hidden goodies for a pic. Making me feel all festive.

Oh my! They are amazing so beautiful!

I obviously missed a bit of a Netmums/Mumsnet flame war or somesuch yesterday. I am gob-smacked at the amount and value of presents shown in some of these photos.

I love the photo of the handmade slippers, I think that would be a good idea for a thread.

We buy nowhere near this amount for our children. It makes me feel... a bit strange I can't really explain it.

minty you will find that its cheaper to buy earlier than in the few weeks run upto xmas where everybody hikes up prices and alot of us are on budgets. I've also got both my kids birthdays in January so I like to be done and dusted and I hate crowds so shopping is a no no in Decemer

I have a lot of half balls of wool in rainbow colours left over from making a rainbow dash equestria girls costume for dd2 for Halloween (oh how I wish I could post photos!) and you've given me a fab idea for what I could do with them.

Vivacia I was ripped into here yesterday/today on 2 threads for my pictures, and buying my sick little boy an ipad (in & out of hospital on oxygen if you hadn't read), the bundle is split between his dads and mine too x

I'm going to try to get dd2 take that tickets on thursday, I doubt I'll manage them but she would go berserk and I've been struggling for her "big" present this year, I've got lots of dolls at £10-15 I know she will love but there's nothing else she's needing or would use.
