Sorry, can't resist a bit of McCartney Christmas magic (that sounds a bit naughty Blush not meant to I assure you). Might balance it out with some good old Sir John of Lennon next time. Oh, just the thought of getting my Christmas CDs out of the loft is getting me excited (again, no naughty double meaning) Grin

armani, is there a deal on the slushy cups? my 2 have put them on their lists so would be good if there's an offer Smile

TheDetective · 25/09/2013 22:28

I was going to post to say I am struggling with storage space!! I used to keep everything in the boot of one of the cars.

This year we have an extra child, plus pram. Means there is no way we can store in the boot!

And I have started buying a month earlier too!

I have just shoved the babies stuff under the bed. And the shed. Because there is too much of it. But DS1 is 11. So his stuff must be carefully hidden. So far there is one gift in the car glovebox. And one in my knicker drawer. No self respecting tweenager would be seen dead going through their mothers knicker drawer, right?!

I am contemplating offering money to bribe space in other peoples houses. Blush

Our loft isn't big enough (the hatch is about 30cmx30cm) for anything really, maybe some of the smaller bits.

The shed isn't really secure enough. I've put my eBay bargains in there because if they were stolen, I'd be less upset - 2 massive boxes of stuff for under £40!

Maybe it is time to buy a storage locker somewhere?!

Rubybrazilianwax · 25/09/2013 22:29

Did someone mention doc mcstuffin toys earlier? Cant seem to find it in the thread

armani · 25/09/2013 22:33

Eddas - amazon have the slushy cups for £8 something. dd realky wants one so will be thrilled Smile

supermariossister · 25/09/2013 22:34

I've ordered a slush cup from eBay entertainer store with a £5 discount code, its on its way and I'm going to test it before I buy any more so ill report back Grin.

Chockywockydoodah · 25/09/2013 22:35

Ruby Chill Factor crush cups down to £8.66

Whoever was asking about Owl stuff earlier, Sainsburys TU clothing range had lots of Owl tops etc. this evening.

Chockywockydoodah · 25/09/2013 22:37

Sorry should've said Eddas not Ruby Blush

clr2014 · 25/09/2013 22:37

what a bargainous / expensive day! Ordered two boots travel mugs, couple of lego sets at lowest ever price on amazon (totally fascinated by the camelcamel stats!)and a couple of other things i can't even remember now!

Dm has asked for something from M&S home. Whilst i'd love to buy now and get it done, do you think it's worth me holding off for a 20% off event?? same for mens clarks slippers (yawn!) . What do you ladies advise?

Eddas · 25/09/2013 22:38

thanks Smile will wait til pay day and hope they're still that price!

RhondaJean · 25/09/2013 22:43

I don't know if this would work for anyone but our last flat was small and had no loft space. In the lead up to Christmas I stored a friends daughters presents and she stored mines. That way if they did happen to find them, then they could genuinely be told they were for someone else who didn't have the space to keep them and what turned up under the tree was different.

She still does this with DHs for me Grin

WorkingtoohardMama · 25/09/2013 23:08

I need to get a small something for a 10 year old girl, I only spend around £5, but want to get something nice - any ideas?

girlsyearapart · 25/09/2013 23:19

Don't suppose anyone knows anywhere that sells stompeez slippers cheaper than £15?
All three dds want them but £45 just on slippers seems a lot!

WorkingtoohardMama · 25/09/2013 23:27

To answer my own question, just found this on the next website - it's perfect!

WorkingtoohardMama · 25/09/2013 23:27

DTisMYdoctor · 25/09/2013 23:42

It wasn't that one Slainte, but thank you for posting. I think there was a link to one thing then I looked at 'things other people bought' I have in my head it was a crafty journal type thing - there was something about making signs and stuff in it. I think it's lost to me forever.

On all the amazon bargains - I really hope the prices hold - I'm waiting for some Amazon vouchers!

ShoopShoop · 26/09/2013 00:08

lego storage

I've found Lego storage with 30% off the range. Good selection of colours too. I've been picking up Duplo for DD so I'll give it to her in the storage boxes I've now bought :) Postge is steep though....over £5 IIRC.

The offer ends today - 26th Sept. must go to sleep to stop myself spending more money!!

ShiverMeWhiskers · 26/09/2013 00:34

I would say don't put lego in the stackable lego brick storage boxes, the duplo should be fine though! You lose a huge amount of space in the bottom of the box because of how they are shaped so that they will stack together but there are indentations in the bottom that all the very small bits of lego get stuck in! How lego could come up with such an odd design is beyond me!

OvO · 26/09/2013 01:02

DTisMYdoctor, was it Wreck This Journal? That was linked to recently and has random stuff in it that the owner has to do/create.

Brockle · 26/09/2013 06:21

I saw the little tikes car transporter in argos vq and it is big.

raisah · 26/09/2013 06:31

Ladies please be reconsider storing gifts in the boot of your car because of the security risk. Thieves know that in the run up to xmas people store gifts in the boot so all they have to do is monitor someone for a fe days & then hotwire their car. Very easy for them to do. Same goes for garden sheds, not secure enough.

Someone suggested swapping & minding gifts for others, havibg a good clear out to create more space, hiring storage company units etc. Just dont use your boot and make sure your doors and windows are secure so carry out any repairs now. Consider fitting those movement sensor lights in the front & back gardens.

Remember thieves love Christmas too!

babyseal · 26/09/2013 06:54

shoopshoop Flowers for the lego storage link.

LaTrucha · 26/09/2013 07:12

Wolf Mini Remote controll car £16.66 on amazon this morning. Usually £24.99 (they say £29.99 but that's amazon being cheeky)

LaTrucha · 26/09/2013 07:26

ValiumQueen - The little tikes car transporter is impressively big.

Thrilled about the Wolf Mini as I wanted two and now I have them for not much more than the price of one full price. Excellent camelcamelcamel!
