Seven threads already Shock

Massive congrats to girl and thanks for supplying me with the thread title Grin . Definitely call her reastie if it’s a girl actually would work for a boy too

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP once again in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

La Trucha. I am going to save you. Stop spending money! (I have bought way too much already too and am feeling the pinch a little!)

Oh my GOD I've got great bargains though especially a dolls house that was delivered today! :-)

Details to come. You might all know it already though as I see the website cannot be accessed and it may b the Mumsnet effect!

PoppyWearer · 21/09/2013 20:39

I have totally overspent and have pretty much sorted the DCs for next year's birthday and Christmas. Blush

But that space centre was waaaaay too good to miss.

ProtectiveMother · 21/09/2013 20:41

Lady Rawr could you tell us more about the Amazon trade in please?

ProtectiveMother · 21/09/2013 20:42

Poppy what is the space station?
(I know I'll regret this) ;-)

bymoonlight · 21/09/2013 20:44

I have both dd's birthdays in November so this thread has been a real help.

I only have a few things left to get so last night resolved to only buy things which were on my present lists.

And then the Letterbox sale happened ...

bymoonlight · 21/09/2013 20:48

I warn you ProtectiveMother - once you see it, you will want it

Space centre

iloveholidays · 21/09/2013 20:51

any way round the postage charges at letterbox?

PoppyWearer · 21/09/2013 20:54

Assuming we avoid Letterbox-gate, I am contemplating unpacking and playing with the space centre/station myself.

DS is going to have a space-themed bedroom next year. He just doesn't know it yet. Thomas the Tank Engine will have to FTFO. Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 21/09/2013 20:58

Stop it stop it stop it!! I do not need that space station dp said no Sad

ProtectiveMother · 21/09/2013 21:03

Wow that's cool. Not as cool as my dolls house from ToysRUs though! £100 or £99 or whatever reduced to £49 with an extra £5 off. Website crashing so cant see if still on sale but it's UNIVERSE OF IMAGINATION Wooden Dolls House with 50 pieces furniture. It is fantastic, unisex coloured so my son can happily play with it too (ie put cars and moshis into it)

I'm delighted with it!

Now how I'll build it on Christmas Eve though is another question ...

ProtectiveMother · 21/09/2013 21:09

Anyway my son already has a puppet theatre with punch & Judy puppets (ELC but discovered in a charity shop), Technic lego power functions set, pair of fishing rods (came in a set so keep my daughter happy too), remote control helicopter thanks to the link on here! :-)

Have asked this already but if anyone knows about lego Technic power functions and which vehicle they will best fit onto please do advise as I'm going to get this for him too. He already has the Lego space station so that's already a rocket in his toy collection anyway.

Yama · 21/09/2013 21:11

ProtectiveMother - I have very happy memories of assembling dd's doll's house the night before her 3rd birthday. Large glass of red and revert back to own childhood. Ds now plays with it. You can't go wrong with a doll's house, you really can't.

LaTrucha · 21/09/2013 21:16

These paints Protectivemother linked to them. I'm a big fan of that sort of paints for toddler painting. they make much less mess than squeezy paints and I find mine tend to do more actual painting rather than mixing up squidgy paints. I'm a bit miffed they don't have a paintbrush in though. The colours are lush.

We have that dolls house protectivemother. It's great, although the doors are a little flimsy. It has laods of great accessories though some of them are very small for tinies. Be warned: It will take a good chunk f an evening to build.

blondieminx · 21/09/2013 21:18

Letterbox were in administration last January it would be wise to pay by credit card if ordering from them! MSE guide to credit card consumer protection here

Oreo thanks have just ordered the caterpillar backpack :)

Thanks as always for the thread Reastie

mootime · 21/09/2013 21:19

I'm beginning to think that the thread should be renamed as I'm now addicted and spending way more than I should be!!

ProtectiveMother · 21/09/2013 21:24

Uh oh LaTrucha I fear I will have to get it done a week before Christmas and then hide it :-)

bymoonlight · 21/09/2013 21:25

I have that dolls house. Its lovely.

I just wish the dds would play with it. I keep telling myself if I bought expensive Sylvanian furniture for it maybe they would play with it more .. dh tells me I am kidding myself.

Oh well, I am 23wks pg with dd3, maybe she'll be the one that embraces the doll house ...

bymoonlight · 21/09/2013 21:26

Those paints will make a great stocking filler thanks ProtectiveMother and Latruncha Smile

ProtectiveMother · 21/09/2013 21:30

I wonder why they don't play with it Moonlight? Ah well if mine don't play with it, I will. Yes I have bought some Santa toys before that haven't been used much like a Melissa&Doug piano. I tell myself that I should play it more to encourage them but I'm probably just being hard on myself ;-)

SpottyTeacakes · 21/09/2013 21:33

Dd plays the piano whenever we go into between the lines (not sure if it's national but it's a chain shop that sells lots of lovely stuff) and dp keeps wanting to buy one for her!

bymoonlight · 21/09/2013 21:37

I think the reason is that dd1 isn't very interested in 'toys' shed rather create a game out of almost nothing, just using her imagination and dd2 (who is only 2) follows dd1's lead and joins in her games. So things like the dolls house get ignored whilst the dressing up box gets played with daily.

Maybe when dd2 is a bit older and plays by herself more, she will enjoy the dolls house. If not, there is always hope for dd3!

LalyRawr · 21/09/2013 21:58

ProtectiveMother click here.

For books, just type in the ISBN number, for games change the drop down menu to video games and type in the title and platform, like "PS3 Farcry 3".

Some only give you 25p, but I got £10 for Farcry 3, £4 for Fifa Street and £3.50 for a biography on Kate Middleton.

Print the postage label, box up and take to post office (postage is free). Once the stuffs been received and checked, they credit a giftcard to your account.

In other news, please bloody remind me to check Quidco before ordering things online. Missed about a tenners worth of cashback!

LalyRawr · 21/09/2013 22:02

Actually, make that £30 missed. Angry

Kat3L · 21/09/2013 22:12

I've been lurking for a while but finally gave in today and got my credit card out for a shopping spree with Letterbox and just wanted to thank you all for the bargain information. I will do my best to find something to share with you guys here.

I'm also going to sign up to Quidco using Lovesbeingonholiday's link, thanks for all the info about cash back sites, they had completely passed me by but don't they make complete sense when we all order so much online these days!

Thanks again.

nickdrakeslovechild · 21/09/2013 22:13

mootime ELC had a keyboard for 7.50 last time I was in there reduced from £15. In Red or Pink.
