Sixth thread Shock but it’s OK we are allowed to get excited about Christmas now as it’s September

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Bentalls clearance shop in the bentalls centre in kingston had some great bits yesterday. Sylvanian log cabin £22, Disney Cars scalextric really reduced, nice glassware, homeware etc all significantly cheaper than amazon. Got some transformers bash bots for a tenner, Cars puzzle for a couple of quid. Very happy!

NeverQuiteSure · 11/09/2013 11:49

I was the same ilove, it had been sitting on my Amazon wish list for a while before I found it on eBay.

I've bought 2 copies of pop up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; one for my own nearly-5 year old DS and one his friend's 5th birthday party. I am hoping to keep my DS's copy until Christmas, but expect I will cave and give it to him as a 'starting Reception' present if it arrives before he goes full time next week.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/09/2013 11:51

Thanks I bought that DVD. Never heard of it but will be watching it Christmas Eve now Smile

joymaker · 11/09/2013 11:55

NeverQuiteSure I went on the bargain booktime website a few days ago too after a poster said postage was cheaper from the site itself (£2) when ordering the charlie a and the chocolate factory. I ended up buying a shed load more books incuding the The Christmas Alphabet: 10th Anniversary Edition that you pointed out -I should be receiving mine any day now so will report back if it isn't as wonderful as it looks Smile

Can someone give me feedback on the Argos deisgnabear monster. I've reserved one for pick up today, does it live up to the good reviews?

saving my spot to peruse after library duty!

Snowgirl1 · 11/09/2013 12:25

JohnyDeppsfuturewife if Sanderson is your MIL/Aunt's style then it might be worth having a look at [http://www.clintoncards.co.uk/clearance?filter_character_range=Sanderson Clinton's clearance] as they have some stuff at 50% off (but Sanderson stuff is ridiculously overpriced to start with, so you might not see it as a bargain). They also have some Caroline Gardner, Emma Bridgewater and Orla Kiely stuff - all 50% off.

Snowgirl1 · 11/09/2013 12:27

hopefully this link will work www.clintoncards.co.uk/clearance?filter_character_range=Sanderson

HavingAnOffDAy · 11/09/2013 12:43

Hi

Am de-lurking to post about the v-tech diary thingy. The one that BlackStilton linked to is available on the Costco website for £24.99 including delivery. I think the price increases by 5% if you're a non-member.

I got DD at silver one (V-Tech Princess Diary maybe) for £19 at Costco at the weekend though so it does appear that there may be different versions.

Thanks for these threads - they're fab! DH is being driven mad though Grin

JustBecauseICan · 11/09/2013 12:48

Signing in ]grin]

How the feckity have you filled 8 pages when I've only been gone for 24 hours!

Snowgirl1 · 11/09/2013 12:52

John Lewis have a 16 pack of Squinkies reduced from £9.95 to £4.98 - not sure if that's a bargain compared to the other posts about Squinkies as I haven't paid too much attention as DD is too young for them, but thought I'd mention it. There's also some Sylvanian families stuff in their special offers.

kiwidreamer · 11/09/2013 12:52

Oh good lord, I think I've just received a free Vertbaudet gift to rival the sports bag... its a three piece cat storage unit, three separate vinyl-ish boxes that Velcro together, mucky greeny yellow and tealy blue colour, massive teal cats heat on one end, fish skeleton in the middle and what I assume are cat legs/feet attached to first and third boxes but the legs/feet are stitched so it kinda looks like cat is swimming kindofbutnotreally. If you stand the three boxes up on end the legs are pointing in the right direction but the cat head then is not.

EFFING UGLY.

I will not be keeping it nor giving it away, they can pay for the postage to have the god awful thing back.

Julezboo · 11/09/2013 12:55

This is a real bargain. My mum paid £69 for this last year and DS (3yrs) has played with it everyday since!

Fisher-Price Wheelies Loops 'n' Swoops Amusement Park

Jojay · 11/09/2013 13:04

Thank you Neverquitesure, I've just bought 'The Flight before Xmas' too. Perfect for Xmas Eve viewing.

Chocolateteabag · 11/09/2013 13:10

Just had an email from H&M cancelling my order for the 98p body sprays as total after discounts is below their £6 minimum spend.
Winder why it took them 2 days to realise - surely they have a setting in their checkout process (or have they realised there was an email link on hot deals....)

No sign of my Elemis bath milk - hoping it's because I ordered after everyone else....
Debenhams wrapping paper has arrived though- vv nice

strawberrypenguin · 11/09/2013 13:12

Tesco in Winchester have lots of Moshi Monster stuff in their clearance section at he moment. DS is a bit young for it so I didn't take great note of the prices but I did think 'I must tell mumsnet!' I've clearly been hanging about here too long Grin

ProtectiveMother · 11/09/2013 13:24

What size dressing gown should I order in Vertbaudet for a girl who is average 4-5 year size (she's actually 3) Maybe size 8 years if I want it to be a bit big?

MooseyMoo · 11/09/2013 13:34

Looks like the Boots 75% off toy sale has started. A few people have got bargains on MSE

iloveholidays · 11/09/2013 13:40

ooh strawberry, I'm near Winchester. that was the store I went to last week!! was thinking of Bursledon....

Damnautocorrect · 11/09/2013 13:41

Not a bargain but lovely all the same. Bakerross stocking fillers, they have lots but live these
www.bakerross.co.uk/funky-christmas-ducks?___SID=U

kiwidreamer · 11/09/2013 13:42

I was in Boots (The Oracle, Reading) this morning got a few bits 50% off and 342 but no massive bargains. There were a couple of Sylvanian Families 50% off £6 / £8, Dr Who sonic screwdriver 3 piece set £10 from £20 and a Lego Chima set £6.50 from £13 and some Mecano sets 50% off... DS has no idea about Dr Who but a magic screwdriver that can unlock the world is right up his alley, need a way to show him the power of the screwdriver without the nightmares that actually watching the show would entail!!!
