Sixth thread Shock but it’s OK we are allowed to get excited about Christmas now as it’s September

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

OP posts:
LippyDiDooDah · 12/09/2013 16:53

Just received my second issue of Glamour today. Last month they sent me the October issue so I was expecting November but instead I got September. Is the next one going to be August? I wonder if they are back issuing as it was only a £1 and in which case shall I cancel the subscription now?

Did a reserve and collect at Argos today and very pleased with my Lady GaGa T-Shirt for DD for 39p. I also got an amazing Regatta raincoat for £19.99 which fitted me perfectly - have been on the lookout for one for ages and tried the Helly Hanson ones from Studio/Ace and they felt cheap and thin in comparison plus cost nearer double. Thanks to whoever posted the link to the cheap T's Thanks

bymoonlight · 12/09/2013 16:53

Just saw on Bargain booktime website

Not cheap but all books I want to buy dd1. What sort of age do you think they would suit? DD1 will be 6 yo and I would be buying them to read at bedtime to her.

bymoonlight · 12/09/2013 16:55

Gah - link didn't work. Its the Oxford Childrens Classic Box.

And its on The Works website, not Bargain Booktime!

WorkingtoohardMama · 12/09/2013 16:55

That usually happens to me neverquitesure!

kiwidreamer · 12/09/2013 17:27

I resisted so well for so long but then caved with the lovely Charlie pop up book and got two of the Enid Blyton books for our Faraway Tree collection plus a Christmas pop up book to get the free delivery. DH is going to proper kill me, but the thing is, my darling DH, there aren't actually any such things as Christmas fairies, so since I do ALL the work for Christmas cos I love it and am a control freak then I neeeeeeeeeeeeed to spend this money!!

bymoonlight · 12/09/2013 17:30

Baker Ross have a Christmas clearance sale on. Some great crafts

SarahAndFuck · 12/09/2013 17:56

joymaker the Home Bargains mugs are really nice and you are right, they do have a bone china stamp on the bottom. Two of them have my initial and I'm tempted to keep one now.

I'm still very pleased to get them for 99p each.

Those other ones, the magpie ones, I've seen them in TK Maxx recently too.

Thank you for the tip! Thanks

AllThatGlistens · 12/09/2013 18:29

Well, I received my Albelli photo book this morning, and it's stunning Grin

Have now commandeered my brother and DHs emails and work/home addresses to make up some more! Beautiful and the code makes it fantastic value for money.

ProtectiveMother · 12/09/2013 18:41

NickDrake I am on the phone to the book people to try and get the Hairy books. How did you manage this? They say they don't have any!

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 12/09/2013 18:46

Omg, I left the thread damn kids taking me away from mn for a day and I have 7 pages to catch up on.

Thanks snowgirl1 mil is getting a Sanderson notepad (£5 reduced from £10) and a Sanderson pen (£6 reduced from £12) and dds are getting stocking fillers like hello kitty notebooks and moshi monster notepads. For aunt I was looking for something like an aspinalls pad as she loves her luxury brands. Annoyingly a friend told me that aspinalls have only just finished a sale this week so I didn't get there in time.

Thanks to the person who linked to Argos and the portable playmobile vet clinic. After waiting in for it all day it has just been delivered. I can't open it now in front of dds but I am pleased it's a big box! The child in me always gets excited by big presents so I'm hoping dd2 is excited when she sees it. link here

Zeeky · 12/09/2013 18:55

Any The Book People codes knocking around? My order is already qualifying for free delivery so was hoping there was % off code somewhere.

They have the Oxford Reading Tree level 4-6 for £14 (25 books)

lazzaroo · 12/09/2013 18:59

Quick question about the albelli photo books. How quick is it at uploading photos? All mine are uploaded to truprint as that's where I usually do my books & gifts, is it worth the time re-uploading?!

bymoonlight · 12/09/2013 19:08

Was going some reduced Hello Kitty from Clintons but there is option to collect from store and it isn't worth the P&P.

Can't find a free del code either.

Gutted!

bymoonlight · 12/09/2013 19:09

Zeeky NBACK and CHEERS for book people.

WorkingtoohardMama · 12/09/2013 19:11

lazeroo it adds a programme on your computer and you can select them directly from your picture folder, so as long as they're saved on your computer it's very quick, and the books are beautiful!

lazzaroo · 12/09/2013 19:13

Thanks working. I think I'll give it a go, have at least one photo book present planned this year Smile

RhondaJean · 12/09/2013 19:20

Hey guys I just remember bangzo books - they do daily deals and every Thursday is a special deal. Today is 3 teen novels about were cats for 3pm ideal for my dd1, they have a set of 5 monsters uni books for £5.99 too, you can usually buy two days behind in their offers as well.

Postage is £4.95 but if you get a good Thursday deal and order a couple of other sets it's well worth it.
