Sixth thread Shock but it’s OK we are allowed to get excited about Christmas now as it’s September

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

TeaandCake Austin Reed still seem to have quite a lot of knitwear in their sale some up to 70% off. There's a zip-up cardigan reduced from £99.90 to £49.95 that I've been humming and hawing about. They offer free delivery to stores. They've got other thick jumpers like this reduced from £85 to £25.50

planning on buying Charlie and chocolate factory book from bargain books today (when I get round to turning my laptop on)

I've got a bit lost with all the other links to that website. Is there any other books worth buying?

thanks

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 12/09/2013 09:08

attheend I love that! Going to get that for him from the kids... Not sure how happy his girlfriend is going to be when he's playing batman with that light while she's trying to sleep though!

Oreo Those prints are a really good idea, they've just moved too so they'll have space to put something like that up, might look for a 1983 one, whatever film was out that year

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 12/09/2013 09:12

Snowgirl Oooh, I like those! Its between these 2 I think -

option 1

option 2

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 12/09/2013 09:13

Oh, just realised i cant get either of those, they only have XXL left and DP is a S/M!

SpottyTeacakes · 12/09/2013 09:17

Tea there's loads of other nice ones in clearance and you can search by size. Perfect for my dad Smile

Snowgirl1 · 12/09/2013 09:20

Tea that's annoying! You can 'Refine by' size (top left) so that it only shows you what's left in the size you want.

Damnautocorrect · 12/09/2013 09:46

Tea, have a look at fat face. Not reduced but nice men's jumpers all the same

Snowgirl1 · 12/09/2013 10:01

I was in Aldi this morning and they had breadmaker for £34.99 - not on sale, and not a brand I'd heard of, but I can't see any on Amazon for that price.

BitchyRestingFace · 12/09/2013 10:02

Try Woolovers Teaandcake. Lots of chunky warm 100% wool knits, nearly all under £50. Quality is fab.

This for example - I have it (for myself) and it is not especially thick but it is very warm and I love it!

Rugbylovingmum · 12/09/2013 10:15

Hi all,

I've bagged some great bargains on this thread and discoevered camelcamelcamel which is really useful. I wondered if anyone knew any good sites to watch out for bargains on skincare, particularly Clarins stuff. My SIL loves it so I thought I'd watch out for any good discounts pre-xmas. Other than Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams which sites should I watch??

bymoonlight · 12/09/2013 10:20

Melissa and Doug cookie set down to £10.

Bought it for my 3yo dd2.

On CamelCamelCamel the lowest price is £9 so I thought this was a good price.

craftynclothy · 12/09/2013 10:22

Can I ask for a couple of opinions on "Plaque-gate"? Sad

26th July discussed, confirmed and paid for custom plaque (they had an offer on at the time)
11th Aug chased as nothing received yet and we were going away, told it would be posted on 15th Aug
19th Aug receive dispatched email
29th Aug I chased it up as nothing received, seller said she was away and would double check when she got back
3rd Sept chased again as not heard back and she'd been posting on fb
4th Sept emailed again, no reply, so I also sent a fb message, got a reply saying her email isn't working. She offered to refund or redo plaque. I asked her if she could redo it. She said she's do it on the 5th and post on 6th.
8th Sept I fb messaged her as she'd not confirmed it was dispatched on 6th, no reply.
10th Sept she posts on fb saying her computer isn't working and that loads of parcels are going out that evening. Still no reply to my message so I comment on her post asking if my parcel is one of the ones going out that evening and she says it is.

It has arrived today and it's broken SadAngry. There are a number of hearts under the main plaque (It's for my parents for Xmas from the dc and it has each of their dgc's names on a heart). The hearts are strung together and then the end ones are glued to the main plaque and it looks like they've just come off where it was glued. I could just get some wood glue and glue it back on, though I know that really I should say something. It's just I feel like she's already redone it once cos it got lost in the post. Tbh I'm fed up of dealing with it. I'm just wondering if it's worth the hassle of complaining about it?

BuskersCat · 12/09/2013 10:34

You know what, I hate you all for making my buy so much stuff Grin

Snowgirl1 · 12/09/2013 10:35

bymoonlight thank you - I've just bought the cookie set. So I've got that, cutting fruit/veg from Vertbaudet (freebie) and a Melissa & Doug felt sandwich set (Debenhams sale). Now I just need to find a kitchen I like for DD's main pressie.

FairyJen · 12/09/2013 10:49

Dd ( age 6 ) wants a toy pushchair. Bit worried tho as she is tall for her age. Anyone spotted any bargains which would be suitable??
