The one after Robotgate, away in a manger it’s the 4th Christmassy bargain thread

Away in a manger is a nod to girlwiththeyellowhats - we await a live birth thread on here Wink no pressure to call your DC Holly or Noel

I can?t believe we are on the fourth thread already I blame robotgate for using up the last thread Wink . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

So..ive just bought all my wrapping and decorations from 24studio using not only the 032 (free delivery code) but also 014 which gives a further 10% off! Dooo it! Wrapping so cheap!

JaquelineHyde · 24/08/2013 21:47

Bloody hell thread 4 already. I've had to stop shopping until the children are back at school as all my money ahs gone on bloody school uniforms!

BuffyFairy · 24/08/2013 22:24

Marking place. Thanks Reastie for the mammoth OP.

HenriettaPye · 24/08/2013 22:25

Hoping some of you lovely bargain hunter ladies can help! DS has decides he would like Santa to bring him some papo figures. These are like schleich figures, there's the animals etc but the ones he wants are like mutant creatures- a mans body with a crocodile head etc...and they are £12.99 EACH and they really are not very big!! Does anyone know anywhere I could get them cheaper?

Oreocrumbs · 24/08/2013 22:42

I've ordered some bits from studio. Did everyone else who has open a credit account? I didn't want to do that but was watching QI and not paying attention.

So when do I pay? They won't give me an account number until my goods are dispatched. Is this what you have to do with this company or have a cocked up and missed the pay by card bit?

JustBecauseICan · 24/08/2013 22:44

Marking place. Thanks Reastie!

TheOnlyPink; I said on the other thread that the book people codes weren't working on my order either- I am wondering if there was a minimum spend- my book was only £9.99 and it def wouldn't give me the 25% Birthday code. Will wait until nearer Christmas when I imagine the book I am after (dd is mad about Rick Stein's India!) will be cut all over.

JustBecauseICan · 24/08/2013 22:45

Oreo- I asked about studio on the other thread, I think IIRC that you can ring them up once you have received your stuff and pay off in one go. (I haven't done mine yet)

ValiumQueen · 24/08/2013 22:49

The book people code birthday only works on sale items. The free postage should still work. No minimum as far as I know.

Snowgirl1 · 24/08/2013 22:53

Oreo I think someone said on one of the previous threads that you have to set up an account with Studio (they're a traditional catalogue company which gives the option of paying in instalments) - but once they've delivered you get the option of paying by instalments OR can pay in full by card etc.

Henrietta I've never heard of Papo figures, but had I had a quick look on ebay and it looks like there are some on there for less than £12,99 this shark mutant is, but postage is £2.99 - but the seller might not charge for additional figures if you want to buy more than one.

Jojay · 24/08/2013 22:53

.

Snowgirl1 · 24/08/2013 22:55

Debenhams are doing a further 10% off the sale prices until 27 Aug (I think) - the website flashes up code PT97 to enter at checkout.

Thanks to whoever mentioned the Melissa & Doug bits on the Debenhams site - I got DD a felt sandwich kit

Oreocrumbs · 24/08/2013 23:01

Ahh ok, thanks! I'm ok with that, just a bit worried there for a moment.

Thanks! That's the obligatory Christmas Eve PJs sorted.

CoffeeOne · 25/08/2013 00:07

I have a few 4-6 year old boys to buy for, no idea what to get them and could do with something around a fiver each! Ideas much appreciated!

TheOnlyPink · 25/08/2013 06:13

justbecause thanks so much, I missed your reply!

vallium thanks, I will try the free postage one again and will ask if it doesn't work. Postage to Ireland is £7 so that alone is a brilliant saving.

olivo · 25/08/2013 06:48

The Only, I am outside the Uk and the delivery code worked for The Book People. I hadn't realised the 25 % was just on sale stuff. Still got some very good bargains though

olivo · 25/08/2013 06:51

Oreo, I'm pretty sure I had a message from Studio to say that you could now pay via website. I am like you, didn't really want an account but couldn't resist the bargains. Now just have to remember to pay it off!

Reastie · 25/08/2013 07:19

Elainey hopefully the OP should sum up the last thread so you don't need to trawl through it (but I haven't put everything up there so it depends how thorough you want to me with your bargain hunting Grin )

Sunny I gave DM all the wad of free samples from l'occitaine as a little extra for her birthday present (but then....she got the l'occitaine gift I got the free stuff from so it made sense IYKWIM). I'd say as a little stocking filler it's fine though.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 25/08/2013 08:15

Coffee, Asda have got the Lego patrol car on 2 for £10 (usually £8- £9 ish elsewhere) Gave lots last year for 4/5 year old birthdays and they went down a storm. Definitely in store and I think online too. Sainsburys have got the orchard toys Rocket game reduced to £3.99. Again, great for boys of that age.
