The one after Robotgate, away in a manger it’s the 4th Christmassy bargain thread

Away in a manger is a nod to girlwiththeyellowhats - we await a live birth thread on here Wink no pressure to call your DC Holly or Noel

I can?t believe we are on the fourth thread already I blame robotgate for using up the last thread Wink . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Has anyone received anything from 24studio yet? I've been put off by the account thing but there is loads on there I would buy!

Leilandri · 26/08/2013 20:50

iLove I've had a studio account for 3 years, always pay balance in full, and their stuff is good. Wrap and cards is bargainous, and the personalised items are great :)

Leilandri · 26/08/2013 20:53

Cool slide reduced on amazon

iloveholidays · 26/08/2013 20:55

Thanks Leilandri. I'm looking at the personalised Christmas decorations, jewellery box and aprons then lots of cards, wrap etc. tempted by the personalised cutlery sets too........

Oreocrumbs · 26/08/2013 20:59

Glitter snow domes £3.99 Argos

Leilandri · 26/08/2013 21:08

ilove DS1 had the personalised cutlery for his 1st Xmas. 3.5yrs later, the set still looks great. Have ordered a set for DS2 for this year :)

I would warn against the Baby's 1st Xmas bauble tho. DS1 had one, and it was porcelain, properly printed and lovely. DS2 recieved one and it is now plastic, with stickers to form the name, and really just tat not as good :(

Slainte · 26/08/2013 21:09

Ben and Holly's Elf Tree Playset is reduced on Amazon from £35 to £13, reviews are mixed. Link is here.

TerraNotSoFirma · 26/08/2013 21:20

24studio can be a hit and a miss really, I ordered that 7 in 1 trunk and sent it back, I'd seen better quality toys at a car boot sale :( shame CSS it was a great idea.
Also got a personalised ballet bag for DD and it was fab.

iloveholidays · 26/08/2013 21:20

Oh Leilandri, I'd decided not to bother with the cutlery but now you've made me think I should!! :) I have 3 DDs... They will be 4.9, 2.9 and 13 months at Christmas so would probably get 3 sets. Would it be worth getting one for the 4.9 year old?

TerraNotSoFirma · 26/08/2013 21:20

CSS? Because :)

iloveholidays · 26/08/2013 21:21

When do you pay it off? Do you get a statement sent through or via email?

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 26/08/2013 21:25

Would also like to add that Strider bikes are great balance bikes. Both boys have learnt to ride a two wheeler without stabilisers before the age of 4 (and ds2 at just 3!) having ridden it for a few months each. It is light and suitable from 18 months. Adjustable saddle and will resell shortly with ease. Not necessarily a bargain, but certainly a very good buy.

Mrswilliams87 · 26/08/2013 21:31

Rockyspeed i think the 3 for 2 offer is only applied in store????? Im not 100% but i am going into argos tomorow so i will ask for you xxx

iloveholidays · 26/08/2013 21:41

MrsWilliams, thanks for the explanation, I think I'm going to put them on my Christmas list!!!!! :)

toisa · 26/08/2013 21:42

My studio stuff arrived and I paid the balance in full today. Done. I was wondering about their wrap...is it decent quality? Is the luxury metallic roll wrap like foil or is it paper backed iyswim?

iloveholidays · 26/08/2013 21:45

Toisa were you impressed with what you ordered? I'm still going through the sight, but have got personalised decorations, personalised aprons, personalised hello kitty jewellery box and lots of wrap, cards etc in my basket so far. Debating on the cutlery....

toisa · 26/08/2013 21:55

Wouldn't say impressed, more 'happy enough'! I bought the long personalised pencil cases and personalised colouring pencils. The colouring pencils came loose in a jiffy bag, no plastic pocket / sleeve thing. But that's fine as I'm just adding them into the pencilcases. I also bought a personalised clock. Again, happy enough.

Leilandri · 26/08/2013 21:56

ilove The cutlery is good. DS1 is 4.3 and still uses, and needs his. Adult cutlery is too big for him.

Oreocrumbs · 26/08/2013 21:58

Amazon John Frieda sheer blonde/brunette travel kit £2.67.

starjules · 26/08/2013 21:59

I always buy my Christmas paper and cards from studio and its fab quality. And last year got the huge personalised santa sack which was brilliant and the iron on tags are so cheap. (I luffe studio)

iloveholidays · 26/08/2013 22:00

Thanks Toisa. I've decided to give the jewellery box a miss in case it's not great quality, plus its something I can suggest to a family member to buy.

Had put some socks in for DPs stocking but might give them a miss too... Spending far too much at the moment thanks to this thread :)

Then I can get the cutlery :)

Leilandri · 26/08/2013 22:07

Finger puppet theatre for all those cheap-as-chips finger puppets! ;)

starjules · 26/08/2013 22:09

ooh Kelly281, that canopy bed is gorgeous I really dont need it for my DD, but... I think it might be a bit small for her baby annabell? does anyone else have one?

Oreocrumbs · 26/08/2013 22:18

I've bought it with baby Annabelle in mind, it says its suitable for 40cm dolls which I think Annabelle is! Might not be but it is very pretty. DD has the stroller in that design.
