So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

I've just got another parcel with more Lego and a lovely butterfly toy for DD. thank you secret Santa MN120. It's really the perfect gifts for the children. The boys love Lego and I think the Lamaze toys are wonderful.

Thank you again Thanks

Welling up reading this beautiful thread.

Thing3WasKissingSanta · 14/12/2012 10:22

I have a parcel already to post but no address to send it to :(

MNHQ are contacting the recipient but I feel bad that they might not get it for Christmas :( :(

SS180 · 14/12/2012 10:50

soremummy, I am so glad that you like the stuff. The kids gifts are only very small mindings, I tried to think of things that my children, who are also mostly older, would have liked.

Make sure to buy something for yourself, you deserve a treat, too.

I hope that you really do have a blessed Christmas and that 2013 is a great year for the sorefamily.

JenFrankincenseAndMyrrh · 14/12/2012 10:59

I can see that my parcel tried to be delivered today but nobody was home so a card was left. Hopefully they won't have any problems collecting it.

Not bad, I posted it 2nd class on Tuesday so quite quick for this time of year.

LadyMaryChristmas · 14/12/2012 11:00

MN108 Your parcel arrived this morning, and I wanted to say a huge thank you. I haven't opened it yet but I'm incredibly grateful for whatever is inside. I've read your note and it sounds like a great plan. Although you think it's small, it means a lot to me just to be thought of. I'm sure ds will share it with me. Xmas Smile

To the kind person who nominated me, I just wanted to say thank you. It was a lovely surprise and I did have teary eyes and a few sniffles after I found out.

I really do hope you both have a very lovely Christmas. Ds and I are sending you both warm wishes. Thanks

I am so glad you like the parcel, and that the doll is ok for your DD. I hope the other bits in the box arrived ok, I only thought afterwards perhaps I should have put some padding in to stop them rattling around. As I said earlier in the thread, I wish I could manage an amazing voucher, but it was all sent with Christmas spirit and very best wishes.

A very Merry Christmas and a happy 2013 to you and yours. And every body else on the thread!!

MN179secretSanta · 14/12/2012 11:54

Solo I'm so glad it's you Xmas Smile I did want to try and concentrate on the mumsnetter as Mums are always thinking about their kids and not themselves and you deserve a treat too. So the voucher is to be spent on something nice for you!
I did want to do more, I had all sorts of plans (and I forgot to put in the Christmas card - oops!) , but stupid ill health got in the way. I hope that you enjoy your treat very much though, you do deserve it!

MN066 · 14/12/2012 12:44

I got another parcel today, so shocked as I never expected that at all but what a lovely suprise. Came back home in the rain from yet another appointment for ds2 and had a slightly crap morning as I woke up and randomly started puking?!?! so not been feeling well all morning and was feeling a little sorry for myself so it gave me such a boost to see this parcel there Xmas Grin
I almost started crying when i opened it cos i was just so suprised and touched. Everything is lovely, i know the boys will enjoy the book and dvd and ds1 especially will be quite excited by the candy canes. I am really happy about the pjs! they really needed new pjs so that is great
thank you!!!! I hope you and your family all have a great christmas
its so lovely to know there are all these kind & lovely ppl in the world. mnetters are great! Thanks
I will definitely be trying my best to send next year

MNHQ I have a problem with the address my parcel is going to - the address you've supplied doesn't match the address held by the courier when I input the postcode. I've emailed you on the Santa.Claus address. Please could you look into this for me? Thanks. Xmas Smile

Hi SKWK, Have just emailed you.

RecipientMN097 · 14/12/2012 14:31

To Sender of MN097:

The Milk Tray Man? arrived yesterday Grin
(actually a rather grungy postie - no suit or dreamy music - but bearing choccies none the less!)

Thank you for the kind thought behind the box of chocolates; it is appreciated.

(For many reasons we are not in touch with many family members and those that we are in touch with live 3hours away! Since relocating a few years ago we also have very few contacts in our local area billy no mates so you know when people say 'oh we have loads of biscuits / chocolates over Christmas' - well we don't really; any we have are bought for ourselves and we don't have the joy of a random gift tin or box of something Blush - so your present, and sentiment, were gratefully received).

Thank you again and a very happy and peaceful Christmas to you & yours,
Recipient MN097 Thanks

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 14/12/2012 14:39

Thanks SantaSandyMumsnet,
I'll use the address as supplied and hope for the best. Xmas Grin

Xmas Smile Thank you SS179 it's lovely to have something for me, really lovely! I'll try to let you know what I decide on!

MN097 · 14/12/2012 14:50

Really glad you got your parcel ok, RecipientMN097 - I now have a vision of a postman looking more like something out of Viz than Milk Trayish, maybe even with a fag hanging out the corner of his mouth, day-old stubble and stench of whisky... but maybe that's just me!

Hope you enjoy your gift (invite the neighbours the postie round for a wee dram and a choccie). Have a lovely Christmas.

lots of love, Secret Santa MN097 Xmas Smile

gonerogue · 14/12/2012 14:51

Thank you so much for the voucher which arrived today. It is so kind of you and I really appreciate it. You've chosen well and I will indeed have fun spending it Smile Loved the card too - so pretty!

I also wanted to thank whoever nominated me. I was so touched. I have (I think) a pretty blessed and lovely life but like everybody there are harder points to get through and the news that somebody thought well of me enough to nominate me for this really put a smile on my face. I am very proud to be a mumsnetter. I think this site can offer people so much and I know I've certainly learnt a lot here.

Thanks once again Smile
