To SS084
The cards arrived some time today, I got home late tonight freezing cold and soaking wet. A hard day at work, missing my girls and feeling sorry for myself and a lot bit lonely and unloved. The sight of the cards with MNer of the House actually gave me palpatations and I felt (for the first time in years) that I needed a cigarette
It just feels so lovely to be the centre of someones attention, and even though I don't know you, the lovely messages inside the cards made me blub.
I think there may be two of you so I'm going to put my thanks separately. If not then excuse my idiocy!
SS084 Thank you so much for the vouchers! I am so touched by your generosity and I think I read upthread that you Googled to check what shops were available to me, that is so thoughtful of you and one shop is a short walk from my house and the other is right next to my work, this is fab as I'm really trying to keep costs down.
I hope you don't mind but I am hoping to get DD a Christmas party dress with some of the vouchers, as she has a few school events to go to and nothing nice to wear. And I'm going to get some nice treaty things for us to pig out on Christmas Day.
And don't apologise about the glittery card
I have all DDs and we live in a disco ball (well it feels like it!)
So again, thank you, Merry Merry Merry Christmas to you and your family and
for you.
P.S. You have the neatest handwriting I have ever seen!
SS084 Again I'm astounded by your thoughtful and truly generous gift. It's something that I would never consider for myself (cos I couldn't justify the expense) but I am over the moon! I had to Google one of them
and then I did this ...
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
(i'm such a pleb!)
Thank you so much, Merry Merry Merry Christmas to you and your family and
for you.
Thank you to the lovely MNer who nominated me, I have no idea why you did but I'm so happy
, I hope that whoever you are you have a fabulous Christmas. And
for you too.
I'm going to donate some of the gifts I have already bought for my DC to a local charity who collect Christmas presents for disadvantaged children in honour of you all. I plan and budget/save for Christmas all year round and my DC have enough, this can be my way of "paying it forward"
Apologies to everyone for the epic post!
