So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done.

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

Wow! Your parcel arrived a few days ago and at first, I was a little taken aback at the size of it, it's HUGE!

I'm so very, very humbled to have been nominated in the first place but when I opened the box just now after waiting for little eyes and ears to be busy, I burst into floods of very happy tears!

You have gone to so much trouble! Luxury chocolates, biscuits, DVDs, toys, jewellery, little Christmas decorations, crafty stuff,

We are so lucky, my own relations don't go to this much trouble, yet here I am looking at it all wondering where to start.

Nemo has just had major surgery on his cleft palate and ended up in PICU again with a serious bleed, he bled for 6 hours, it was a really fraught time for us all. Plus it meant DH and I being away from DD for 3 days as we were at Manchester Children's Hospital, so she's had a tough couple of weeks.

He's getting better every day, given that we've only been home for 2 weeks, but he's still in pain and the hole didn't close fully as first thought so we've got to go through it all again at some point

You have made Christmas 2012 in the Mouse house a much more festive one. I wasn't really feeling the Christmas spirit, just shear exhaustion so Thank you from the bottom of my little furry heart, from Nemo, DD and DH too.

You are a wonderful, selfless person, and I shall certainly Pay. It. Forward.

Got my gifts today.
Im astonished by the kindness of people I really am, especially as this year has been a huge slog financially it just restores my faith in humanity.

Thank you so much to the very kind Mumsnetter who sent my parcel. It is fabulous. I love all the little trinkets with the stones and the Angel and the DC loved their chocolate coins. The Gift Cards will be used for all of us to have a treat.

Do you know something, I've just read the whole thread so far and the kindness of strangers means so much to so many people, people who you might have walked past earlier that day or week, with the weight of the world on their shoulders.....

The loss of a loved one, terrible news, a sudden change of circumstance, no work, no money, no one.....

You just don't know the difference that YOU are going to make. Sending a gift, a box with something for someone else inside, a smile, a hug, or even an 'it's okay'........

Glad the package got there safely, not as spectacular as some others I suspect, but I thought that M&S would come in handy either for festive food, or a little treat for you.

The packets for the boys are just tiny stocking fillers, but I hope they'll like them - you are indeed correct in your guess about DC1's contents.

I am not sure why I was nominated, but was very pleased to receive some lovely gifts for myself and ds.
We have had a tough year, and having someone we don't even know think of us so kindly has made me smile.
