I've been asked by RebeccaMumsnet to start this thread. Smile

A big thanks to all at MNHQ for arranging this. You little stars!

When posting thanks, please give the Santa number that should be on your gift so that people can see that their gifts have arrived. Many thanks.

My Thanks :
A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys Grin.
Thank you so much to the lovely person who nominated me - I am deeply, deeply touched by your kind thoughts.
And thank you so very much to my lovely Santa638. We will all enjoy your gift enormously: a perfect choice Smile. Wishing you and all your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and a peaceful and loving 2012. Thanks

Is it not in your Deleted items, leftmy? Or possible there's a copy in Sent? That's where my emails go to die...

I've just received a special delivery of a lovely card and an accessorize voucher Xmas Grin, thank you so much and also thank you to whoever nominated me, it meant so much after a really bad year. Had the postman very interested though as it was addressed to the mumsnetter of the house, he's nosy at the best of times.

It's arrived at the perfect time too as yesterday was the first anniversary of our daughter's death and Tuesday coming is her birthday, she was stillborn last year. I'm 25 weeks pregnant today and keeping my fingers firmly crossed.

Thank you again, it was from Number 35 on the envelope, so thank you very much. It's lovely to be thought of and very much appreciated Xmas Smile

Thank you to whoever sent me a fantastic present with this message on. There's a pic on my profile if anyone wants to see what I got - Knotty has one too Grin

Dear Nominator and Secret Santa, I came in from a long day at work on Thursday (Yes, I do have a 10 week old baby, but yes I am also fighting to save my business, suffering as a result of the economic climate and unfortunately we live nowhere near family so this all happens with babe in arms) to find a parcel. I could not believe it when I opened a John Lewis hamper (sorry couldn't find a ref number anywhere on the box) brimming with goodies including wine, biscuits, sweets, chocolates, cake, pudding and brandy butter to name but a few of the delicious contents. I am a little (actually a lot) overwhelmed at your generosity and I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for both the thoughtful nomination and hugely generous gift. I really am very very touched and grateful. I shall never forget that some one thought of me this Christmas when I am going through a particularly tough time and lifted my spirits so very much. Again, a million Thanks and a very Merry Christmas Xmas Smile xxx

I think MN should bring out their own brand of extra strong tissues especially for this thread.

Thanks you lot for doing this streling work.

Just coming on to mark my place. We had a lovely time boxing up our donation this afternoon - the DDs had helped me select the gifts and were very helpful in packaging everything up. It really helped put me in the festive spirit and reminded us all about how lucky we are to be in a position to donate to someone who may be having a tough time.

Then we missed the post office - so the parcel is all ready and waiting to send on Monday.

I love this, did it last year for the first time and so thrilled to do it again. So much more satisfying than posting a cheque to rather faceless charity (though I hope to do a bit of that as well)....

Big Thanks to MNHQ for doing this.

Wow what an amazing thread this is all new to me. We had been in a bad place last Christmas (financially and semi-emotionally) and can only imagine how if I were a receiver it would have made a huge difference. So it's lovely to read about all of the generosity which really can lighten someone's life, especially at a time of year that's fun and exciting for many, but also dreadfully worrying and upsetting for others.

MNHQ, I emailed saying I had a toy and vouchers to donate, got an acknowledgement email but have heard nothing since.

I will report this post as well so please can someone look into it - I would hate it if someone had my gift allocated to them and I have not sent it.

I was immensely lucky to be nominated last year and still to this day remember how much it lifted me at a really rough patch. The generosity astounded me and I can never thank the mumsnetters who nominated/donated enough.

I think I've missed the boat to be able to reciprocate this year, but have already marked in outlook to check the thread next year!

Merry Christmas to all the lovely mumsnetters and to MNHQ for all the hard work that goes into this - it really does work wonders, I will never forget how wonderful it made me feel - you're amazing! Xmas Grin

Well my parcel is all wrapped for the postoffice to be sent to my Secret Santa - have bought things I hope they will like, just little things to brighten their Christmas Grin I love Christmas, and have thoroughly enjoyed picking bits and pieces for the family I got matched with and knowing it will make Christmas all the more worthwhile. This is what Christmas is about and I am proud to be a part of it. I'm not the best off of people myself, but to be able to do just a little for someone else has really made my miserable Monday feel better, and I hope it puts a smile on their face too.
