A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys .

Thank you so so so so much. It was so lovely of you. I LOVE smellies and creams and things and never buy myself any because I feel too guilty spending money on myself It was a real treat.

And sorry I couldn't wait until christmas to open it!

And thank you so much for the vouchers for the boys. They will love them.

I am so glad you loved it. There should be something else waiting for you to help make Christmas special? Can you post that you have got it or that you haven't so I can find out what has happened?

This thread and appeal really sums up the true spirit of MN - we can run all the public campaigns in the world, but anonymous nominations and donations to help other parents and families is really what it's all about.

Thank you so much for your kind, thoughtful, generous and beautifully worded tags on three parcels!! And three lots of Christmas munchies too! Presents to go under the tree and goodies to go in the Christmas cupboard- which now has something(s) in it.I have been moved to tears by the sheer loveliness of your gifts and the whole MN Christmas magnificence. Thank you so much. You have really made a poorly person very happy. (I am recovering from a spinal op 15 days ago which unfortunately had some unforeseen complications, so as you can imagine, life has been a bit bleak, up until now!!!!) My children were overjoyed to receive the presents and have been surprisingly good about not opening them now. I wish you could have seen my DD's face when she realised a parcel had come for her from a perfect stranger. This is what Chrismas is all about .

Was surprised by the nomination. Didn't expect it and it made me smile. However, I have been astounded by the lovely MNer who sent my ss parcel. Problem is the code was damaged in the post and is missing so I can't say thankyou specifically.

However, to the amazing mnner in kingston upon thames who sent parcels for ds in red paper (and was thoughtful enough to include the batteries), and a voucher for some lovely stuff for me. Many many many thanks! Hope you and your ds have a fantastic christmas! You are truely wonderful. Thank you.

There are some truely amazing people on MN, and it never ceases to surpise me the wisedom, generoisty, kindness and community spirit that this forum has.

A huge thank you to addictedtocrunchies for the generous gift of amazon vouchers, it was overwhelmed to be nominated and to receive something made me have a little tear especially when me and dp had just realised even our £10 each budget wasn't possible.

This is the first christmas in 5yrs we will have a present under the tree, I had a very grabled teary conversation with my mum and I'm visiting her tomorrow to have a nice long browse and choose wisely.
