A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys .

Yesterday I finished my radio-therapy treatment and, having been fully involved in that for the last 3 weeks Christmas has been the last thing on my mind.

To the very special mumsnetter (4129) a million thank you's for the vouchers. Dh got such a fright when I burst into tears on opening the post. I think his exact words were "it's the bloody phone bill isn't it"

Hi I offered a gift card for some one and got an acknowledgement but I've never received an e-mail with details of where to send it. I've just e-mailed [email protected] to ask you to check - can you watch out for it. Wouldn't like some one to be expecting something that they don't get!

When I had the email saying I'd been nominated for a gift I was quite overcome with emotion. No idea what I've done to deserve it but thank you so much whoever you are - its really quite special getting a gift from a stranger!

Thank you so so much for my Secret Santa gift that arrived today - unfortunately my over-efficient mum threw the wrapping away before I could find the number, but the box contained a game and some books for my gorgeous boys and a bouncy Santa that they love .

It also included a special present for me to unwrap and a Tesco voucher .

I've had such a tough year (culminating in not getting a job I really wanted today ) so to come home to such wonderful kindness from a complete stranger today is just lovely .

Thank you also to whoever it was who nominated me - I was incredibly touched and quite overwhelmed by it all.
