I've been asked by RebeccaMumsnet to start this thread. Smile

A big thanks to all at MNHQ for arranging this. You little stars!

When posting thanks, please give the Santa number that should be on your gift so that people can see that their gifts have arrived. Many thanks.

My Thanks :
A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys Grin.
Thank you so much to the lovely person who nominated me - I am deeply, deeply touched by your kind thoughts.
And thank you so very much to my lovely Santa638. We will all enjoy your gift enormously: a perfect choice Smile. Wishing you and all your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and a peaceful and loving 2012. Thanks

Hi there. If anyone knows the santa recipient 16688 could they check in to see if the 2 parcels have been safely received? sent them last monday and not heard anything (a friend posted them and didn't get a receipt requested thing so I have no info at all...)

ScaryFairy28 · 18/12/2011 21:44

Miss P I posted a gift on Thursday hoping it gets there in time if you have an 8 week old dd then it's on it's way!

cupofteaplease · 18/12/2011 21:56

I am currently in hospital with dd3, so I don't have the gifts here, but I know we have received more wonderful gifts from 2 secret santas- thank you so, so much. They couldn't have arrived at a better time as things are very stressful at the moment and their arrival really cheered me up! Xmas Smile

One, was a VERY generous Tesco gift card, which I shall use for lots of yummy Christmas treats and mulled wine! Xmas Grin

The other, was 2 parcels sent direct from Amazon. My dh opened them and said they contain a lovely selection of activity books, but he didn't elaborate, so I can't wait to see them for myself when I get home and wrap them up Smile

I hope my santas recognise themselves? Thank you, so, so much. You have been incredibly generous to a complete stranger which is overwhelming. Xmas Smile

misslauraP · 18/12/2011 21:58

no babies here, just a nearly 4 year old. I've enjoyed reading through this thread, sounds like lots of happy recipients. A lovely idea.

SirBoobAlot · 18/12/2011 22:30

Firstly, thank you so very much for whomever nominated me. I haven't been on here frequently nr regularly in the last due to internet only active on my phone. It made so much to me to know that I was still in the thoughts of - at least one! - MNer, as you are all so frequently in mine.
Thank you for the M&S voucher that I was lucky enough to recieve last week - once again I am touched by the generosity of the many individual on here, reading this thread, and it really has made my Christmas to be included within it.

(I am not sure if I am supposed to enclose the number included, but in case I am it is 6455)
Once again, thank you so very much, and I wish you all a very very Merry Christmas. X

Santa8177 · 18/12/2011 22:56

missP - if you requested the gift to be adressed to Laura, rather than Mumsnetter of the house, then something is on it's way to you (I'm busy moving house, so this slipped down the priority list a bit)

MOSagain · 19/12/2011 06:48

SirBoob you so deserve it, hope you and B have a lovely Christmas x

SecretSanta6455 · 19/12/2011 09:43

This honestly isn't a huffy "and where is my thank you?" post, but I sent a voucher two weeks ago (stupidly in the normal post) and haven't seen a thank you on here yet. It's totally fine if the recepient doesn't want to say anything, obviously, but I was just wondering if it had arrived safely? I really hope so Sad.

TheLaineyWayIsEssex · 19/12/2011 10:18

secretsanta6455 look up a couple of posts Wink

SecretSanta6455 · 19/12/2011 10:25

Ooops, thanks, Lainey! I'm so glad it arrived ok, SirBoobALot - have a lovely Christmas. x

ss145118 · 19/12/2011 11:05

I'm hoping my parcel (small gift and vouchers) has arrived with its recipient- I posted it in the first week in December so it should've got there by now unless Royal Mail has ground to a total halt.
Happy Christmas to everyone involved.

TrinityRhino · 19/12/2011 12:05

May be in the area over Christmas. Will visit if I can (if you want me to)

CheeseandGherkins · 19/12/2011 13:11

Thank you so much to secret santa 561, I really wasn't expecting anything else but a lovely card with a gift vouchers for boots came in the post today Xmas Grin. I will take your advice and buy something after the baby is born. I'm so grateful and overwhelmed. It means so much to me so thank you again. It's really cheered me up today after an awful day yesterday at the hospital with dh and still being ill and feeling rubbish too.

Thank you! xx

tallwivglasses · 19/12/2011 13:28

I think my delivery lady is a mnetter. She gave me a very knowing Wink when she handed over my SECOND GIFT!!! I'd only just got over the excitement of the first one!

Thing is, I'm a tad jealous of those of you who know who your secret santa is...it seems some of you even know your nominator, so this is a going to turn into a shouty post (sorry...)

To SECRET SANTA 7974, thank you SO MUCH for the beautiful peace lily and all the other goodies that arrived on saturday while I was attempting to make fudge that was refusing to set. I cried and had to have a drop of rum in my coffee to recover. You are BLOODY LOVELY xxx

to the lady who nominated me, THANK YOU xxx

I was disorganised as usual and left it too late to nominate or offer a present myself this year (I've put it in next year's diary) so I'm going to send some money to charity instead. As I lurk and sometimes post mainly on sn and relationships, I'm going to donate to a local children's charity and women's aid but not 'til xmas is paid for I suggest other recipients do the same if you can - to carry on that warm christmassy feeling Xmas Grin

Thanks to everyone on those topics who have helped me so much recently.

Oh God, end of 'I did it my way' speech Xmas Blush

Love from TALLWIVGLASSES xxx

SecretSanta100112 · 19/12/2011 13:35

VallhalasDogs

You are very welcome and I am glad you like them- my match email only mentioned one DD14 and I aimed at her, so I hope there is enough to go around!

I am mainly a lurker in Active Convos, not much of a poster and not a dog person, but for what it's worth I think you are missed around here.

Merry Christmas Xmas Smile

architien · 19/12/2011 13:44

Thank you so much to the two ladies who sent me gifts!

I received a lovely voucher for M&S, our Christmas budget was lowered considerably this year so this has meant I can still buy nice treats to have for Christmas day for the family. A lovely surprise! as Christmas was looking sparse

I also want to say thank you very very much to the lady who sent the John Lewis vouchers. I'm going to use these to treat myself to a new mug (a lovely one with trees painted on the sides with their names) and a nice scented candle for the family altar. Thank you so much for the lovely treats for the children. My son was thrilled with pealing off the stars "Mama one, six, three etc" and I happily sat him down at the kitchen table with his craft things so I could get on with dinner. Genius :) He loved the night time story too.

Really, I'm very touched that you thought of my bairns and I.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas!

Love,
Architien, boytien & babatien

x

TrinityRhino · 19/12/2011 15:35

NORMA of course we would love you to Grin

Secretsanta118126 · 19/12/2011 16:30

Hi Zukiecat it was me who nominated you and sent the flowers, glad you liked them!

Trinity I am so happy the flowers/chocs and vouchers arrived safely. I really wanted to choose gifts for your DD's but got myself tied up in knots worrying about sizes, whether they would like very girly things or not, etc etc so opted for vouchers to be safe. Hopefully they can find something they like though Smile

Merry Christmas to all of you.

SeldomSeenCake · 19/12/2011 16:40

TrinityRhino · 19/12/2011 19:28

thanks 118126, I think you did the right thing, they are all in totally different sizes to their ages, they are all tall and slim with no bum so difficult to guess sizes

they will be very very pleased to be able to choose what they want

and when they find out how much it is they will feel like millionaires, thank you Thanks

TrinityRhino · 19/12/2011 19:32

ooops and thankyou for my flowers and chocs, so sweet of you to get me something too
I love the flowers, very unusual, they are on my kitchen window ledge just near the sink so I talk to them whilst washing up

I'm saving the choccies for after christmas when all the christmas stuff has gone and I won't be sharing Grin

Fillybuster · 19/12/2011 19:34

I can't name change (sorry) but architien did your parcel with the stars happen to be for 15083?

I hope so, otherwise I shall be chasing Royal Mail this week!!!
