I've been asked by RebeccaMumsnet to start this thread. Smile

A big thanks to all at MNHQ for arranging this. You little stars!

When posting thanks, please give the Santa number that should be on your gift so that people can see that their gifts have arrived. Many thanks.

My Thanks :
A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys Grin.
Thank you so much to the lovely person who nominated me - I am deeply, deeply touched by your kind thoughts.
And thank you so very much to my lovely Santa638. We will all enjoy your gift enormously: a perfect choice Smile. Wishing you and all your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and a peaceful and loving 2012. Thanks

Just a quick post to let my recipient 101113 know that I have not forgotten them.

I ordered something for you last week but have just had an email to say it has been delayed. It should be with you within the next week to ten days.

If there any other probs I will update. Sorry!

I haven't a clue who you are so don't know how much you know about me but just sending a huge thankyou Thanks

Ds was having his home tuition when the postman came. I try to keep the house quiet so nothing distracts them. There was a huge thud when the post dropped through, DH said I think he's delivering bricks lol.

Anyway there was a small but extremely heavy parcel addressed to the mumsnetter of the house. I turned to hubby and said it's obviously not yours otherwise it would of stated the dadsnetter!!

Feeling really excited and childlike (something I have never felt for a long time even throughout my traumatic childhood) I gave it a shake............it rattled.

I have never been good with surprises and couldn't contain myself any longer so opened it. At first I thought I'm going to re-wrap this for dd's stocking, she will love this. Then I read the card and realised there was a recipe and menu sheet and thought no we will keep it and all do it together, hopefully including the grandkids........not that Iv'e looked at the sheet as yet.

Then I looked at the other side of the card to what I thought was a contemporary smiley face at 1st glance to realise it was a voucher. I'm still Xmas Shock . Your kindness and thought have been beyond belief, it certainly restores faith in some instances. I just hope you feel I am worthy of it. It also puts anything I can offer to shame.

It is much appreciated and so lovely of you. I'm sorry these words don't describe your generosity and my emotion enough. Thanks again!!!

Dysgu · 12/12/2011 19:31

Glad to see that the parcel has arrived for Recipient16386 - we really enjoyed selecting some gifts for you and your children and hope we chose some things that will help make your Christmas even better. Glad to see that things have picked up for you and we all wish you and your family a lovely 2012 and hope things continue to improve in the new year.

Merry Christmas

( I tried namechanging but it doesn't seem to work for me!)

TheHappyCamper · 12/12/2011 19:46

ooo mosagain I was just having another peek at your presents (hidden in the wardrobe) and found the Thorntons chocolate coins inside DD's purse! Smile. How lovely! I don't think they'll last long mind - Chrismas breakfast maybe??

Thanks again for doing something so wonderful, and thanks for the good luck wishes for a New Year BFP.

I'm going to be a donor next year I've already decided Grin

JjandtheBean · 12/12/2011 21:15

Mumsnet again, you sail in and cheer me up when its needed the very most.

Today I had to have erpc after my baby died last week, had some trouble after th GA with oxygen levels so spent the whole day in and arrived home to another secret santa (my 3rd) no neighbours around so I have sorry your out ticket to the Mumsnetter, I can't wait to collect it from the PO. Its amazing how well these have all been timed, its truly helping me through another bump in my road. So whoever you are THANK YOU xxxxxxx

SecretSanta233 · 12/12/2011 21:23

To my lovely recipient, I looked at your photo and thought that no flowers could look as beautiful as those in the light of your daughter. She was breathtakingly beautiful.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 12/12/2011 21:42

Thank you 233. She was. I dont know where she came from Smile
I LOVE flowers. My OH is lovely but total pants at flowers and never buys them for me. Not even after the DCs were born Shock
Good job he is good looking and does the washing up.

WinterWonderlandIsComing · 13/12/2011 01:05

Oh how lovely that you had flowers. Thank you for putting the photograph on your profile. What a wonderful display for such an astonishingly beautiful young lady.

shabbapinkfrog · 13/12/2011 06:49

secretsanta7663 · 13/12/2011 11:59

devientenigma Thanks for posting, it is so satisfying to know that the parcel arrived safely, and lovely to hear the whole story of the dramatic post box moment!

QuintessentiallyFestive · 13/12/2011 12:17

I have been unwell the last week and this week, but managed to steel myself and went to the post office this morning. The queue was beyond belief, it must be Christmas! Grin

Just hoping it wont take too long to get to recipient. I am sure there are other sloppy posters like me who have not yet managed to get to the post office! Xmas Shock

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 13/12/2011 14:10

Quint - you are not the last, I am going this afternoon as soon as I can keep DS2 (9 months) out of the wrapping paper long enough to get it parcelled up! Xmas Smile

JjandtheBean · 13/12/2011 14:13

Another huge thank you to addictedtocrunchies I had a slight delay fetching the parcel as I spent yesterday in hospital, dp has just brought it home for me and its perfect, the dcs will love the dvds, ds watched a bit of gnomeo and juliet at my mums when they had it from love film and thought it was hilarious and dd is just discovering disney princesses, new groove has just there sort of humour in aswell, thank you so much! And the goodies for me smell heavenly, I was a bit naughty a nabbed the lip balm out of the burts bees as I spent a while on oxygen yesterday and had sore lips its brilliant stuff.

thank you so so much I hope you and your family have an amazing christmas you really deserve to as your generosity has certainly made a difference to mine Xmas Smile merry christmas xxxx

WinterWonderlandIsComing · 13/12/2011 14:35

Quint I sent an extra something today too as my original parcel may not have arrived. You're not the only one.

Jj I know it has been terrible for you recently but from your posts on this thread you sound like a child on Christmas morning yourself and I just want to wrap you in my arms and give you a huge cuddle! Xmas Smile

JjandtheBean · 13/12/2011 14:45

Thank you winter, I really can't begin to explain how much this has helped me, I don't get presents and these have all arrived right when I've needed it most.

I've been extra naughty and me and dd are snuggled up and watching tangled that addicted sent, --ive been desperate to see it since it was in the cinema-- as I've been ordered to rest and can't stand another second of chris and pui or peppa.

Mumsnet the way you've helped me this year really is undescribable. Xxx

Peachy · 13/12/2011 14:56

Just opened the doror to a postie bearing an envelope numbered 1912, and containing an Amazon voucher.

Thank you so much! Perfect timing: our home phone has broken and we need to keep in close contact with my Mum ATM as my Grandad is struggling.

MN Santa is so special and I am so truly grateful. Thanks again.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 13/12/2011 15:25

Jj believe me the feelings I've had choosing the presents for you are equal to the joy you have experienced receiving them.

I hope you're back on your feet soon and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

PS. There should have been four DVDs - two each for the little ones. Hope you've got them all as they were being sent separately.

SecretSanta233 · 13/12/2011 15:29

Finally post office up and running......expect it tomorrow.

JjandtheBean · 13/12/2011 16:03
