A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys .

I just wanted to say thankyou to the mumsnetter who sent us such wonderful gifts, they arrived at the end of last week.

I couldn't see a mumsnetter number on the parcel, but the presents were just perfect. My dds loved the Princess book, cuddly dog (now named 'God' by dd2, who has just started to learn to read, and tends to get things a bit backwards!) and bookmarks. My ds has devlelopmental delay, but his favourite things are bathtime and music, so a bathtime xylophone was the perfect gift! The money bank has been highjacked by dd2! And the gifts for me were just lovely - I feel so spoilt. I have started reading the book, and can tell I am going to love it.

We have had a very hard year, worrying about our ds, and I have struggled with pnd. Receiving your present, was such a joyful moment, I am overwhelmed.

they like getting the same. dd will probably read the books more than play with the cars but they much prefer to get the same sort of thing to unwrap. ds will probably want some hair slides to wear like dd if I put some in her stocking! the magic "i am a boy and i don't do pink" switch has yet to be activated, much to the disgust of their dad who glowered when ds unrapped the bright pink baby doll he had chosen for himself in the toy shop. dd chose a viaduct for the wooden railway and definately still likes cars. her aunt bought ds a car mat last year and she still loves driving around the mat with the be-quiet-and-sit-in-the-trolley-so-I-can-push-you-round-asda toy car bribes i bought him before he started nursery and i could shop in peace.

I think this thread needs to be publiced more in all forums as maybe the first thread when you open each one up. I dont normally use this forum but actively did search to see what was happening.

I still havent seen my presents, my dearest beloved has decided I can have them for Christmas but he was over the moon with the contents and has said I will really like what you sent.

i have asked him to find the iD so that I can confirm it on here.

I think it is so lovely that there are so many kind people have donated so many gifts and I will be forever grateful. I am having a tough time with my health at the moment and will be in hospital for a few more weeks, so getting gifts from strangers is even more fantastic.

I have just received a parcel containing presents for me and my children.

Thnak you so so much, I am overwhlemed with gratitude, this year has been pretty awful with redundancies and I was really struggling to find any funds for presents. I hope you don't mind ut I had a sneaky peak at my children's gifts and it is like you know them, they are perfect. I've put my beautifully wrapped present under the tree.

Thankyou so much for the parcel I've received . The ref number was on the box but was thrown away by my very helpful DS before i could jot it down. Just so you know that it arrived safely sender I received Care Bears for my DD's , a radio controlled car for my DS and also a voucher.

Many many thanks to Santa 2325 The Tescos voucher is much appreciated . It has been a difficult year this year, I am still off work having had treatment for breast cancer and my ds has just started uni so bills have been Williams. I hope you have a lovely Christmas - random acts of kindness really do make the world a better place.

On Saturday I received a beautiful bunch of flowers from M&S (theres posh!). I was delighted and the sender was 233. The note said the flowers were to let me know my items were on their way!

The flowers are beautiful all on their own so I am amazed that there will be more - how lovely.

I wanted to post and I hope that my sender see this.. Yesterday was international candle lighting day for all the children taken too soon. The flowers made a beautiful addition to the table with my candles on for my DD and the other children. They were perfect and I will put a photo on my profile asap.

Dear My Santa,

I have a huge apology to make. I was at work when your parcel arrived on the 7th and today was the first chance I had to get to the Post Office. Unfortunately, they refused to let me have it as I had no ID in the name of 'The Mumsnetter' - my ID with the address on wasn't enough for them. I tried to explain but no. Bah humbugs!

So, the earliest I can guarantee to be here all day for them to deliver it- which is what they required - is Saturday. I am so sorry. I didn't want you to think I was an ungrateful wench for not posting a thank you. I am truly grateful, I really am, both to you and whoever nominated me. So lovely of you both. A massive thanks in advance and I'll pop back on Saturday to do it properly. Promise.

I opened an amazing parcel today, with wrapped presents for me and my children, and an envelope with even more.

Christmas on MN reminds me about how much goodness there truly is still in the world.

Thank you so much. It has been a very long 18 months/2 years in my world though thankfully things are finally on the turn, and someone caring enough to even nominante us meant a lot even before I received our gifts.

So today I have sobbed and grinned and explained all of this to my boyfriend who has had some of his faith in humanity returned.

Oh my word I just got another parcel!!!! The number on the parcel is 16948. A gift voucher and two wrapped pressies, which I promise not to open till the 'big day!!'.
