I've been asked by RebeccaMumsnet to start this thread. Smile

A big thanks to all at MNHQ for arranging this. You little stars!

When posting thanks, please give the Santa number that should be on your gift so that people can see that their gifts have arrived. Many thanks.

My Thanks :
A parcel from a very generous Santa has arrived: a wonderful Playmobil advent calendar to get our family in the mood for Christmas. I think I'm probably more excited about it than my boys Grin.
Thank you so much to the lovely person who nominated me - I am deeply, deeply touched by your kind thoughts.
And thank you so very much to my lovely Santa638. We will all enjoy your gift enormously: a perfect choice Smile. Wishing you and all your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and a peaceful and loving 2012. Thanks

Just posting again, as I really want to thank whoever sent

who sent to MNER in NORFOLK a box from great little trading co for my 3yo dd and 4yo ds. As there's no number etc.

I am so overwhelmed everytime I see the box I have a cry. It really is so wonderfully perfect and generous, whoever you are thank you have a very very merry christmas

Santa3164 · 09/12/2011 22:06

Floored - I'm delighted the gift hit the mark. It's such a pleasure to give in this way. Hope it makes Christmas special for you.

Xmas Smile

kylesmybaby I am glad your parcel arrived safely and it was an absolute pleasure to send you and your DS something Xmas Smile

I hope you like it, it's difficult buying for people you don't know!

I wish you and your DS a special Christmas and all best wishes for 2012.

SparklyGothKatsSanta · 09/12/2011 22:42

Awww SparklyGothKat, so glad it was you Xmas Smile. It's tricky buying for people when you know almost nothing, just hope all the things are OK for your DCs. I'd have put something in for No.5 too if I'd've known.

DD and I had a lovely time shopping - we had a girly day out when the strikes were on Xmas Smile She was very taken with the idea of sending someone a secret present, I had to explain the idea a few times as she was just so intrigued. And she loved the 4yo gift so much that I secretly got one for her stocking too Xmas Grin

Merry Christmas to you and all your children!

Tonight I have come home to an envelope in my mail box containing a very generous WHSmith voucher :) so, I would like to thank my lovely Secret Santa ref 9082. I can feel some book shopping coming on which will go down a treat in this household as Ds reads a book a day and Dd is just learning to read so... Thank you, thank you and thank you again from a very smiley Solo household.
Have a lovely Christmas. Ours will be so much nicer thanks to you...

Solo · 09/12/2011 23:55

Meant to thank my nominator too :). So kind to put us forward for a gift. Thank you! and Merry Christmas!!

Iamseeingstars · 10/12/2011 05:39

I too would like to say a big thank you. Have had a phone call to say something has arrived, but am in hospital so not received it yet. Will update with number when I get parcel delivered tomorrow.

Thank you to the kind family involved. I really appreciate it, especially because I am having such a rough time in hospital and to know there are people who are complete strangers that still care.

Thank you also to the person who nominated me

Thank you very very very much for the lovely bath goodies! I had to open it i have no willpower I didn't know if it was for me as I'd mentioned my 4yo DNephew in the email to MNHQ and would have felt a bit foolish opening something for him on Christmas day Blush

And thank you to the fucker lovely person who thought I needed nominating. It was a very unnecessary kind thing to do Grin

mamapower · 10/12/2011 11:16

mamapowerssecretsanta I have put a pic up on my profile of our wonderful wonderful Christmas tree.

I dragged my tired backside up into the loft last night and pulled down all the dec's, poured a glass of wine, put Michael Bulble's Christmas CD on and enjoyed every single second of putting my tree up, it looks amazing and I can't wait to put some presents under it.

Once again, thank you sooooooo much for bringing festive cheer into my life, that otherwise might have just passed me by (and I actually love Christmas) and helping me forget my woes.

Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks

BIWIshYouAMerryChristmas · 10/12/2011 11:47

Grin I want to say a massive thank you to my secret santa REF: 367 Grin

I am in the middle of packing the house up to move on Monday in what has been a rather last minute move (we found out at the begining of the week we had to move).

I am thrilled at the box of goodies that have arrived today, it's just perfect stuff for us. I can't remember all of it as I have packaged it back up to go on the removal van but wer have got a pin the nose on the reindeer game, a tablecloth for the children to colour in, 3 selction boxes, crackers, mini mince pies (posh ones), some posh stuffing, gift wrap and tags, a stunning scraf, some mini baileys, and a little bottle of champagne Grin I know I have forgotten some things and I'm sorry I shall re-post once I get it all unpacked properly.

Thank you, thank you, thank you I am utterly astounded at the kindness of my secret santa and the thought that has gone into it is amazing. Thank you so much Thanks

Ooh just remembered there was a DVD and a £10 gift card for Sainsbury and a really, really pretty card from my secret santa. Thanks Thanks Thanks

cupofteaplease · 10/12/2011 14:07

I went to the PO today to collect a parcel that was waiting for me. I knew what it was as I had ordered something from the States a while ago. When I got there, the queue was snaking out of the door and down the path and I almost decided to go home and try again on Monday.

Well, I'm so glad I didn't, because along with the parcel I was expecting, was another mystery package. On opening it, I actually gasped! Thank you MNHQ for the lovely gift Xmas Grin. There was a signed copy of Delia's Christmas cookbook Shock, an aquadoodle and a Baby Annabelle outfit (although until I clocked the label, I thought it might be for dd3 as they are about the same size Xmas Grin).

Thank you MNHQ, and thank you to whoever nominated me. I know it sounds corny, but after dd3's emotional entrace into the world, I would have felt incredibly alone without MN. I can't begin to tell you how much advice and support I have gained from other mums who have been through the same struggles as me and have come out the other side. The inspiration from MN has encouraged me to keep fighting every day, and for that, I can't thank you enough.

Seeing the positive effect of the Secret Santa appeal makes me even more proud to be a Mumsnetter.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 10/12/2011 14:36

I totally missed this this year!

amberlight · 10/12/2011 17:23

Xmas Smile Thank you! xx

LimeJellyforBrains · 10/12/2011 21:43

Thanks Thank you Thank you Thank you 4030

Your parcel has arrived safely and I am delighted, touched and so grateful for it.

This couple of weeks before Christmas contains the anniversaries of three seriously shitty things for me, and I was beginning to get quite scared of this month, but your selfless generosity has shown me that good things can happen in December too!

The presents you chose for my boys are fantastic and they are going to absolutely love them - you wouldn't fancy helping with the rest of my present shopping would you? I am going to wrap them and put them under the tree so I can explain The Wonder of Mumsnet to them on Christmas Day Xmas Smile We shall have to see if the chocs for me make it that far, I am having a hard time keeping my hands off them!

At the risk of sounding a bit odd, can I say how much I admired your sturdy parcel wrapping? Someone with carpet tape to hand is a gal after my own heart Xmas Grin

And at the risk of sounding like a stalker.....I lived and went to Art College in the village which has the same name as your road (many years ago)! Considering the size of the place, that's quite a coincidence I reckon.

Secret Santa 4030, you are bloody brilliant and wonderful and so is Mumsnet.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and that your kindness and generosity comes back to you a hundredfold. xx

jaquelinehyde · 10/12/2011 22:21

Oooooh my secret nominator! Xmas Grin Yay, thank you muchly Thanks
