Hi

Just that really.

Am i the only person to not have done any xmas shopping yet? I have no plan and i have no idea what to get people and i will prob get everything on xmas eve about 3pm an hour before the shop shuts.

Anyone else like me?

Another one here. Have got DS sorted out but have no clue what to get anyone else or even what I'd like. (And my birthday is next month so I have to think of something for that as well.) An idle trawl around Amazon with a glass of wine last night was no help either.

dexter73 · 14/11/2011 09:54

I haven't done any yet either. Was just thinking today that I should start soon!

SarahStratton · 14/11/2011 09:56

I've finished.

Just waiting for 2 presents to turn up, and then I shall have finished the wrapping too.

AMumInScotland · 14/11/2011 09:56

I haven't done any yet or made a plan - but I'll get round to it before Xmas Eve! What's it, about 6 weeks to go? Long enough in my opinion not to need a last-minite panic...

DigOfTheStump · 14/11/2011 09:57

I have bouht one present and pre-ordered one. Have not even started on a wee lst yet.

GloriaSteinem · 14/11/2011 09:57

Christmas? When does that start then?

boaty · 14/11/2011 09:57

Nope, DH has made cake and puds for closest friends but we have done absolutely nothing else. Probably going to end up with beans on toast! :o

Dlamis · 14/11/2011 09:59

Me neither. I used to end up leaving it all til the last minute, then doing it all in a mad panic in one day in the last week before christmas. Worked well for me. One trip, all done, sorted :o

That was before kids though. Needs a bit more organising now. I haven't done any yet. Started thinking about it though, that's about as far as i'll get for a while!

I haven't even made a list of who to buy for yet. Not a big problem as my family don't really do the present thing. DH's family do though so I shall let him decide what they can have and I will do a big online order one day for the lot.

I am absolutely NOT going christmas shopping anywhere.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/11/2011 10:03

I've made a list I've checked it twice
I'm off sick so I might look online today. Might...

cheeptrick · 14/11/2011 10:08

I just can't seem to get my head around xmas this year. I have put in meat order with my MIL and she has given us 5 boxes of mince pies Hmm but thats about it.

Son has told me what he wants and my mum has droped his xmas gift off last week. We got all new xmas tree and dec's last year so that sorted just needs getting out of loft.

I find it hard as my side of the family all have children so toys or money is easy but DH side are all adults so no idea what to get them. I'm also trying to save money this year as well so everything needs to be cheap.

DH is doing xmas dinner this year so i will leave all the food to him i think.

There i have thought about it and have decided to leave it till 2 week in december Smile

All done here , wrapped as well, :)

Shakey1500 · 14/11/2011 10:12

Nor me. I have an idea of what I'm going to buy but have been ever so ill and am also in the middle of buying a house

comedycentral · 14/11/2011 10:13

Not at all, roll on payday!

Don't do it. Can't bear all that desperate panicked spending when millions have nothing. Will be getting gift cards from oxfam - takes ten minutes :-)

HugosGoatee · 14/11/2011 10:18

Nope, not December yet! I really like Christmas shopping but don't see the point in doing it early, I'll only see better things later. Also I quite enjoy the mad frantic rush around Oxford St on Christmas eve with like-minded folk.

Am on maternity leave from today (yay) so will get cracking before I get too knackered though, am 35 weeks and already the size of a mansion house and aching all over. I suppose I could get everything off the net but that's no fun.

ENormaSnob · 14/11/2011 10:20

Finished.

No wrapping though til vh1 Christmas countdown starts.

Tonksforthememories · 14/11/2011 10:22

Nope! Know what we're getting the DCs, and i have an idea for DH, but still have yet to buy anything!

Thankfully no one wants the must have toy this year. :o

borninastorm · 14/11/2011 10:22

Another non-starter here.

Two of my kids birthdays are in December so gotta get them first (and no I haven't started shopping for them either!) before I think about Xmas.

I've got 2 presents and made some christmas pudding vodka. I'm making most presents this year so leaving a lot of it til December though i'm buying birthday presents now.

PattySimcox · 14/11/2011 10:33

Nope done nothing yet except checked out a Waitrose order for the 23rd December - I considered that organised until I read this thread

TobyLeWolef · 14/11/2011 10:34

Me. Done nothing.
