Have you looked on the Elf on the Shelf website? I havent had a good look yet but the little videos at the beginning might help give you ideas.

Now --the scary ass theme tune has scarred me for lifei see the books etc seem to be based on that elf I'm going to make my own up, I'm brilliant-- ok at drawing so that way it can feature my elves.

Still managing not to mention them to dp, think ill make it to friday...

Oh btw ebay have the pair of peppermint elves for £8.49 bargain!

Isn't it a pity that most people don't have elves. Imagine going in for pre-Christmas drinks, seeing the elf with his innocent little face turned towards the wall and knowing that the householders had clearly been getting amorous on the sofa recently.

I might make an elf with a Shock face.

We could have a bit of a laugh posting pictures of what our elves get up to. I need some practice for the Reception Bear which I have been threatened with via a newsletter.

I can't decide what to do! If I ever get over the theme tune, I wonder if something like this would be nice. I am more a fir cones and greenery decorator , so I think these might fit the decor better but are they Christmassy enough (or indeed threatening enough for the dc!)

Ive finished my elf! Still un-decided... Pic on my profile.... should I just order a real one!?

DD1 caught me sewing abit earlier so had to explain that when I had finished I would send him to Santa to make him Magic. He would send him back to watch her and go back and tell Santa about her behaviour every night. She seemed to buy that and appeared quite excited by the idea.

Brilliant work, Pigley, really good. I think I will get myself to the store for fabric, if I find something suitable I'll have a go, else, I'll just order Aurora.
