Secret Santa Thank You Thread

I have asked in Site Stuff where to put this with no reply, so if it's wrong can you move MN please? Thanks.

Yesterday I received a gorgeous pack of coasters that we can put pictures in, and a box from Amazon with toys including a Rubiks magic puzzle for my ds's.

I want to say a huge thank you to whichever person sent them. They are perfect and the feeling someone cares enough to have nominated and / or bought for us makes a difference. Two weeks ago we thought we were about to become homeless after a bloody rough year and although that has passed we're still feeling very shaken and it's so good to have some light out there. Christmas stands between now and our ds4 being seen at the Paediatrician's request (for those who don't know ds1 has asd, ds2 dyspraxia and ADD, ds3 asd) and this has given me the Christmas spirit I was missing.

Thank you, I wish you all a most wonderful of festive seasons.

I suspect some donors probably do some detective work of their own as well.

Even just going on ages and gender of the children and location a bit of careful MN searching can probably narrow it down. And if there are special requirements that probably makes it easier.

There's some (very lovely) crafty buggers on MN Xmas Grin

shabba - your 22.13 post nearly had me in tears Xmas Blush Xmas Smile

Santato2D · 08/12/2010 08:44

Hi 2D!

Glad you got the voucher. You are most welcome. I LOVE this part of MN every year. Love being a viper in the nest!

Shabba - your Tom sounds fantastic. And you couldn't have Robbie cos I am!

46dSanta · 08/12/2010 09:24

BibiBelle so glad you got the voucher - that one was intended for your DDs and there is a little something in the post for you. Have a wonderful Christmas Xmas Smile

SoNotWorthIt · 08/12/2010 11:07

I return to this thread with more Blush...i truly don't deserve this kindness.

Just had a parcel from 60D with wrapped presents for my DSs, some yummy looking biscuits and an M&S gift card.

Thank you so much!

MaryAnnSingleton · 08/12/2010 11:26

61 D - you have totally spoiled me - thank you so,so much - dh will be thoroughly over excited Xmas Grin
You have been far too generous (sobs emotionally)

Deemented · 08/12/2010 13:16

Me again!

67D - The second parcel has just come and i'm stunned - thank you so so much, you've been overwhelmingly generous, i can't believe it. DS2 is going to love his game - he particularly likes penguins, so you really couldn't have chosen better - we'll have lots of fun with that! And DD will love her gift too - she loves horses, but insists they say 'Moo!'

Thank you again, and i hope you and your family have as wonderful a Christmas as we will have now, thanks to you. Smile

CherryTheRedNosedMonster · 08/12/2010 13:35

Thank you very much to whoever nominated me! i received an email from rebecca the other day telling me that i had been nominated and asking for my address which was given. i really dont deserve anything, but thank you so so much anyway, this year has been very hard, and this cheered me up!

Santa110D · 08/12/2010 13:41

The Spirit Of Christmas is catching:
I emailed an ebay seller to ask if they would be happy to send something to my match instead of my registered address (I told her what it was for): she said yes, and today she sent it and also refunded me the postage.
Aren't people Lovely Smile

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 08/12/2010 13:51

i vaguely remember seeing a 350 in brackets though, is that my code?

castille · 08/12/2010 18:49

waitingsanta (38d is that you - sorry I forgot to put the code on my post before)

  • you mean there's more?! On top of the second voucher received today?

I don't know what to say, I am just stunned at your amazing kindness. I feel very small and squeaky with my thanks, but they are heartfelt. xx

waitingsanta · 08/12/2010 19:08

YayXmas Grin! 38d is me, yes.

So glad the second voucher arrived and you are pleased I wanted to get gifts but was baffled as to what to buy two DD's their age without knowing anything at all about them!

Two more things en route - the one intended for DS should be obvious Xmas Grin but it isn't gift wrapped, so you may not want to open it when he is around. Let me know if they arrive safely! xxx

Dysgu · 08/12/2010 19:17

Oh good Lou33 - glad that the vouchers arrived -- I have never used them before so wasn't sure how they worked.

Merry Christmas to everyone Smile

VinegarTinselTits · 08/12/2010 19:41

could have been 35D ?

22D · 08/12/2010 20:22

To Tom - you are most welcome. I`m sorry your gift wasnt a bit more imaginative but I have little girls and 13 year old boys are a bit alien to me!! You sound lovely and I really hope you continue to make your Mum proud... she is a lovely lady and deserves lots of love from you.
Have a wonderful Christmas.

Shabba - sorry I couldnt deliver the real Robbie - but if you look carefully there may be a flat packed version to keep you amused!

Have a great day, I hope my small contribution will make you realise how well thought of and loved you are. You should be proud of Tom - he is a credit to you.

castille · 08/12/2010 20:29

waitingsanta - the vouchers are perfect for my DDs - one is a bookworm and the other loves music and gadgetry so they will both be more than happy, not to mention overjoyed to be getting presents from very generous strangers!

Will look out for more parcels - how excitingXmas Grin

peterpansmum · 08/12/2010 20:32

I had no idea that such a thing existed in the world of MN - this is a truly lovely and thoughtful way to show appreciation of others.

Shabs and Dee have both been a huge support to me (and numerous others) and I am so glad that someone has nominated them.

Best christmas wishes to you all xxxx

SantaClausImWorthIt · 08/12/2010 20:33

Lovely, isn't it, ppm?

Xmas Grin
shabbapinkfrog · 08/12/2010 21:14

22D you couldn't have got Tom anything better....he loves his music and he has written me a list of alternatives out to spend his voucher on Grin

I would be the same trying to buy for girls after having four sons and one grandson.....girls terrify me Grin

Its hard to explain properly how you have lifted the mood in our house...before our parcel arrived we were all miserable and I kept wondering how on earth I was going to afford Christmas. Your gifts have made a massive difference.

May I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Many thanks xx

Ref44D solosanta

I came home to find a huge box on my doorstep today. Inside was a fabulous gift for meee containing Chocolate truffles, wine and a miniature rose in bloom! Wow!
I am so totally chuffed, thank you so much. I never get to buy myself anything like this and I do love chocolates, wine and roses, so that had me Grinning from ear to ear.
Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

smilespray · 09/12/2010 03:23

Thank you very much to the santa who just posted something interesting on the iTunes App Store...
