Secret Santa Thank You Thread

I have asked in Site Stuff where to put this with no reply, so if it's wrong can you move MN please? Thanks.

Yesterday I received a gorgeous pack of coasters that we can put pictures in, and a box from Amazon with toys including a Rubiks magic puzzle for my ds's.

I want to say a huge thank you to whichever person sent them. They are perfect and the feeling someone cares enough to have nominated and / or bought for us makes a difference. Two weeks ago we thought we were about to become homeless after a bloody rough year and although that has passed we're still feeling very shaken and it's so good to have some light out there. Christmas stands between now and our ds4 being seen at the Paediatrician's request (for those who don't know ds1 has asd, ds2 dyspraxia and ADD, ds3 asd) and this has given me the Christmas spirit I was missing.

Thank you, I wish you all a most wonderful of festive seasons.

I had the most fabulous suprise this morning when the post lady handed me an envelope with 'To the Mumsnetter of the house' on it.

Thankyou so much for the Mothercare vouchers that you sent Ref.50D.
It is very much appreciated and will go to good use for my 3 DC's.

Wishing you a wonderful christmas xxx

snap MaS - after much deliberation I did accept my nomination "in the spirit in which it was intended"~(eventually - took me a week of deliberating) - but I'm still struggling to see why I was nominated in the first place Blush.

I'm just hoping my Secret Santa doesn't spend too much....

allgoodnamesaretaken · 30/11/2010 14:07

i had 2 lovely presents arrive this week.
One was a great Lego game for my eldest DD and a great chef game for my youngest DD. I cant find any ref on them but they both came from online so think thats why.

Thank you so much, they are great and Im sure my girls will love them when they get them.

allgoodnamesaretaken · 30/11/2010 14:08

PS: have named changed for thank you thread, hope thats ok, a little Blush about being nominated

5GoldenFimbos · 30/11/2010 16:54

If you don't know you are nominated, how does MN get your address?

TotalChaos · 30/11/2010 19:09

I think MNHQ contact you to let you know you are nominated and to ask for your address. I don't think they tell you why/who has nominated you.

Thanks to whoever nominated me, it's really touched me that someone has thought of me/family.

27Dsecretsanta · 30/11/2010 19:45

allgoodnamesaretaken - glad the gifts arrived safely

BibiBelle · 30/11/2010 20:44

I got mine this morning - I can't thank 58D enough for thinking of me. It's been a shit year and it's been a great year all rolled in to one. I haven't quite decided what to do with the voucher yet. DH says it's obviously meant to be used for me but I think I'll put it towards the girls Christmas Confused.

and just in case - I'm dizzydixies but have name changed Smile

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/11/2010 22:27

I love this thread. It's so lovely to be able to nominate and give.

I love you all

BibiBelle · 30/11/2010 22:35

Santa10D - thank you so, so much... he loves choosing, so I will let him when we receive it, if that is alright with you :)

MaryAnnSingleton · 30/11/2010 23:01

my present was a fab Amazon voucher and am going to buy ds some really nice drawing pencils and am trying to find the pens I like too- so it'll be usefully spent ! Was also looking at thermal vests (for me) as it's so chilly.

KErry - I think you were busy getting married and jetting off for chess tournaments at the time Wink Grin

NormaStanleyFletcher · 01/12/2010 18:48

Oh how nice :)

So glad that someone competent is doing it this year. Grin

Sorry - 'tis joking a bit. I was right royally shafted by being given a proper (well paying) job and have guilt trips to this day.

It didn't exactly go to plan, to be fair

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 01/12/2010 19:18

pssst - I bet this hasn't gone to plan so far behinds the scenes either Wink

now stop having guilt trips - that's an order

reallywoundup · 01/12/2010 19:55

umm Norma, you made A LOT of mn'ers very happy last year... so what if it didn't go entirely to plan! You did a hell of a lot of work which you weren't paid for (unlike MNHQ- not saying this is wrong, just that norma took the job on as a sideline iyswim) You should be proud, the thank-you thread from last year should show you how many people you touched with the work you did

notapizzaeater · 01/12/2010 20:16

I'm an organizer freak and join every committee everywhere but I thought you where a trooper sorting it all out {{clapps}}

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 01/12/2010 23:11

I still remember the night that NSF's DH went up a snowy mountain to send emails out Smile
