Secret Santa Thank You Thread

I have asked in Site Stuff where to put this with no reply, so if it's wrong can you move MN please? Thanks.

Yesterday I received a gorgeous pack of coasters that we can put pictures in, and a box from Amazon with toys including a Rubiks magic puzzle for my ds's.

I want to say a huge thank you to whichever person sent them. They are perfect and the feeling someone cares enough to have nominated and / or bought for us makes a difference. Two weeks ago we thought we were about to become homeless after a bloody rough year and although that has passed we're still feeling very shaken and it's so good to have some light out there. Christmas stands between now and our ds4 being seen at the Paediatrician's request (for those who don't know ds1 has asd, ds2 dyspraxia and ADD, ds3 asd) and this has given me the Christmas spirit I was missing.

Thank you, I wish you all a most wonderful of festive seasons.

I have received some lovely things for my Dc's today and wanted to say a big thank you to the MNetter that nominated them and also to the MNetter that so kindly sent the gifts. The Dc's will love them! :)

There is no nickname, but there is her real name. So thank you so much Mrs W, you are very generous indeed. They will be thrilled! Ds will especially love the rocket as he has made one from household bits and pieces in the past (which I was a bit Hmm about for safety reasons), but this one he'll be allowed to use which will make him Grin from ear to ear!

Dd will be thrilled to bits with the bracelet kit; she's very girly and loves jewelry, so thank you again and Merry Christmas to you and your family.xxx.

Our Postie just struggled up my icy path with a massive box.....full of wrapped presents. Also gift vouchers for my DS4.

My Grandson (2 years old) keeps saying 'Anma what you crying for - its wovwey!!' He's right - of course.

Many thanks to 22D. Many, many, many thanks. At this time of year my mind is full of absent loved ones (including two of my sons) and it clouds over Christmas. However, the lovely gifts have lifted my spirits and put a massive smile on my face.

Im not opening any pressies....going to wait for the day!!!

THANK YOU xxxxx

Shabba, is he really two already?! mind you, my youngest is almost 4 :)

solossanta · 07/12/2010 14:25

solo You are so very welcome Xmas Grin I was so pleased to just read your message as we've 'talked' before on other threads so your message really made my day.
There is another item on its way for your DD. Got them two little things each but for some reason they were sent in two parcels. Also a little something for you Xmas Wink
Didn't mean for my real name to be there but stupid amazon don't make things easy for people like me who are rubbish at IT related things Blush Was supposed to be anonymous!

was also chuffed to read when your DD's birthday is as its my birthday too Xmas Grin

shabba so glad you've got some lovely things. You are one of the nicest people on MN and have been a lifeline to many people. Thinking of you and your boys. Bless you x

solo · 07/12/2010 14:51

Aw! thank you! I did get two parcels through already; one had the puzzles in (not from Amazon)the other 3 items came together from Amazon. I just meant that the bracelet kit will be her favourite and unintentionally ommitted mentioning the other...Ds's game will be great too! there will be about 9 of us at Mum's this year, so a good old fashioned family game will be played! Grin
Thank you very, very much! I will let you know when my (you are naughty ~ lovely, but naughty!) item comes through, so keep an eye open for another message!

You are the only other person I 'know' with a Boxing Day birthday! great coincidence Grin and I hope you have a lovely day :)

Are we fb friends? I'm Willow Grace with a name blanket as my profile pic. If we aren't, please feel free to add me :) I have quite a lot of MN/FB friends.
Speak soon.x

shabbapinkfrog · 07/12/2010 15:03

Yes Solo - he will be 3 next June!!!

Solosanta Blush thank you xx

solossanta · 07/12/2010 15:19

solo, no, not FB friends (yet - will track you down or you know my name!) We've talked on other threads, pretty sure bereavement as I think we were in similar situation last year unless I'm thinking of someone with a similar name? By the way, DD's name is Grace and she has just turned 4. Lovely ageXmas Grin

Just glad it all turned up. I'd rather have gone out and bought everything and wrapped and sent myself but I'm abroad so had to rely on internet shopping (mind you, saves carrying lots of bags) Ordered the DC's pressies all from amazon so somewhat confused when they said one was coming from elsewhere. oh well, main thing is you've got them.

Hope you have a fabulous christmas with your mum. I really miss mine, second one without her Sad x

solossanta · 07/12/2010 15:22

solo just FB you. We have some mutual friends Xmas Grin

shabbapinkfrog · 07/12/2010 16:12

I know I shouldnt be on here, but thank you to "22D" for the HMV card (Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Black Eyed Peas or Cheryl Cole CD :o)
Love from Tom, Shabba's DS4 :)

GrizzlyMacDuff · 07/12/2010 16:18

It is pavlovthecat here just trying out a new cat name!

I cannot find any codes on my gifts, but I had some love to shop vouchers, some puzzles for my 2 yr old DS and some princess fairy tales for DD arrive today, they are all just fab! DS loves planes and cars and puzzles so he will be very happy when he opens them! and DD loves all things princess. In particular stories about princesses so will be having them read to her every day after christmas I am sure! I am also very appreciative of the vouchers as I have not had the time/inclination/spare cash to get myself anything of late, so I shall probably treat myself to something beauty related like face wash/moisturiser/cleanser, a bit of pampering on christmas day. The kids gifts will be going under the tree marked 'from the 'ladies' santa (as she calls you all 'the ladies') Grin

Whoever you are, you went to thought and effort and it is such a kind thing to do it brings tears to my eyes.

GrizzlyMacDuff · 07/12/2010 16:20

2 year old? Shock a year appears to have gone by without me knowing it! He is of course just one Blush or i have lost time somewhere.

Also, i just thought, the vouchers might have been for the kids too Blush

ItalianLady · 07/12/2010 16:22

Thank goodness for that! I thought I had lost a year!!

GrizzlyMacDuff · 07/12/2010 16:27
Grin
GrizzlyMacDuff · 07/12/2010 16:30

AND as I now realise that the person who bought my family some gifts is the not the person who nominated, I wish to say thank you to that person too, you lovely lovely MNer x

BecauseImWorthIt · 07/12/2010 16:42

oh this thread is so lovely >>

castille · 07/12/2010 19:05

I would like to send heartfelt grateful thanks with a soupçon of emotional sniffle to the very kind person who sent the Amazon gift voucher to me, received today. I have a wishlist as long as my arm so you are not only very kind but spookily clever! Thank you thank you thank you.

And of course another huge thank you to whoever nominated me. I have had a horrible year and have survived it with a lot of support from some wonderful, selfless MNers, who are all far more deserving of gifts than me. Thank you xx

lucysmam · 07/12/2010 19:27

To whoever nominated me for the xmas appeal, I think I may have missed the boat as we've been without a computer for so long (couldn't afford to have it fixed) & I didn't know I had the email about being nominated until this morning! But thank-you whoever you are for thinking of me, it put a smile on my face this morning while I was waiting for grumpy and grumpier Xmas Smile dd1 & 2 to eat their toast V E R Y S L O W L Y! Xmas Grin

waitingsanta · 07/12/2010 19:33

Hi - I am a donor waiting to check that the things I sent arrived safely. Please if you are sending thanks could you remember to put donor reference? Thanks Xmas Smile!

BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 19:45

waitingSanta - I'm not sure as I got 2 nominations and didn't realise they were different until it was too late Xmas Blush I can't thank those that nominated AND those that donated enough so if you were mine apologies for being dim and thanks again Xmas Smile

waitingsanta · 07/12/2010 19:54

Hi Bibi - donors each have a unique reference that they should have marked on the gift somewhere, they aren't told the mn name of the person they are matched with. I don't think the nominator (real word?) has a reference but if they have nominated you they will hopefully know your mn name so will see your thanks to donor and/or them?

shabbapinkfrog · 07/12/2010 19:55

Just noticed that my DS4 has left a message Blush Iapologise to any MNetters who dont like children being on here. He just said (he's 13) 'I spelt everything right and didn't do text talk - I just wanted to say thank you!!!'

BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 19:56

I realise that waitingsanta but I didn't realise I'd been nominated twice and have only managed to get one number Xmas Blush one was 58D and I don't know the other one Xmas Blush

maybe I should email MNHQ? I would hate not to be able to thank someone
