I'm so sorry but its me again. Really need some advice if you dont mind?

You remember me and my ds2?

here

i really dont know what to do. Last few nights have been up with him at the longest stretch every 2 hours. Mainly every half hour. Rolling around moaning and crying in pain but still half asleep. Nothing is helping. Not his age (1 this week) what would you do? He has so much wind its unbelievable. His poo is still very 2 tone. Like a lump of dark green, a lump of yellow but all together IUSWIM? Also last week or so ive noticed he's been spitting up what i think is stomach acid as he'll take his dummy out, spit it out like a raspberry and its all foamy and he will cry until i can wipe his mouth.

During 90% of the day he is ok other than ALOT of wind and the food issues.

its probably about 1 - 1.5 hours id say. The nappys have always looked like this. Some food comes out same as it goes in like sweetcorn, types of veg and looks like the chicken. It is very 2 tone. Im giving him senna every other day. He'll do a really hard poo which is always 2 tone with say a lump of yellow, a lump of green but stuck together and always mucousy. sorry if TMI!

But after a hard one he will then do a VERY soft one, im guessing the senna does that.

Sounds quite close to normal I'd say, he will probably stabilise then & should be easier for you.

Do u give omep b/c you give him formula last thing then? You said it didn't make any difference.., you know it doesn't need to be forever. If it works then fine, but if it doesn't do anything, then no point?

We have been recommended/prescribed all sorts of stuff in the past, you don't always have keep going with it if it doesn't work. I think you need to work out what is it in his evening food that might be causing a problem and then work around it.

the paed told me to 'wean' him off the omep over 4 weeks which today is now the end so will see. He dose still have reflux though.

I really dont know what it can be anything on the eve meal as it is just plain veg with ricr or wheat free pasta

Well, it could be carb overload or it could be soya or corn in the pasta. I think you will be fine with some protein in the meal as it will give his stomach acid something to do (stomach acid can only digest proteins not carbs and you need the acid environment to absorb various nutrients).
I would keep going with some protein with each meal and try to avoid too much soya or corn (at one point my ds could only handle potatoes, but not soya or corn so I was giving him loads of veg with small amount of carbs & hidden protein).

he drinks soya milk!! hes apparantly not intollerant to anything other than banana...

allergy/intolerance is not necessarily linked to reflux
