What’s this in child’s ear? (Photo)

Hi, noticed this in 6 year old’s ear just now. Is this what wax looks like? To be honest it looks a bit like some popcorn (which we do have in the house) but ds claims no knowledge... Don’t want to embarrass myself at minor injuries if this is what wax looks like!
His other ear isn’t like this.

My DS sneezed out a pea one time. I wouldn't mind except we hadn't had peas for a week.

So... just back in and can’t leave you hanging! Long wait but very good nurse who calmed him right down and after a long poke about out it came. Will post picture - the blood is from the earlier attempt to get it out, glad it wasn’t me who did it. Thanks for keeping me company tonight Flowers

Oh kids are such a joy, aren't they? Lego man head? Mine stuffed one of her ears with dried apricots if that makes you feel better. Then shoved them in nice and tight with something else. (Pencil?). I ended up squirting it all out with a syringe myself. Was fun for all.

Looks like popcorn to me! Glad they sorted it out, poor thing. Must have hurt to get it out if he bled... He won’t be putting anything in there anymore!

My son stuck a ball bearing in his ear when he was four because he wanted to be a robot Hmm. He needed a GA to get it out.
