Oh how I wish this was a bid to get your attention.

from what I can gather, his dad was having a tattoo done at his own flat, and Ds1 said "What does that feel like?" and before anyone knew what was going to happen, he -who is about to die--

the tattooist jabbed Ds1's hand with the tattoo gun that was being used on ds1's dad.

So.

It's the tiniest dot, nobody told me about it, and it was 5 months ago.

I now have to take my 7 year old for a fucking hiv and hep b test.

I have a police investigation going on (but all I know is that the bloke's name is 'tattoo tony', he has relatives on the isle of wight and stars tattooes on his head/face)

And I have barred the kids from visiting their dad. Overnights will now take place here, at my huge inconvenience. And my friends and family will be dropping in to my house on these occasions, unannounced.

I was swollen with rage the day I found out. My boyfriend is taking the day off work next week and travelling 40 iles to my house to take ds1 in for his bloods, so I don't upset him with my hysteria.

I don't know what to think and I don't know what to do. My child has been assaulted and I was not informed.

fingers crossed, colditz.

VivaLeBeaver · 22/11/2010 18:28

Hope he's currently banged up. I know what's happened is awful but hopefully a 1mm dot isn't too noticable and people will think its a dark freckle. Confused Its shit though, really shit.

Rindercella · 22/11/2010 18:31

Bloody hell Colditz.

Really hope your lead proves hot and the bastard is arrested.

Can't believe I can still get shocked by things, but this is just awful.

Shame on your ex for hiding this from you for 5 months. You're doing the right thing by monitoring his access. It seems that his judgement is not what it should be.

FreudianSlimmery · 22/11/2010 18:31

How awful. Really hope he is caught.

GlitteryBalls · 22/11/2010 18:39

Any news yet Colditz?

amidaiwish · 22/11/2010 18:40

awful
why was he even having a tattoo done when he was having the kids anyway? odd.

TheLogLady · 22/11/2010 18:46
Shock
NorbertDentressangle · 22/11/2010 18:46

OMG Colditz.

I hope he gets his comeuppance.

DirtyMartini · 22/11/2010 19:21

Jesus Colditz, how fucking appalling. Looking forward to news of Tony being busted.

colditz · 22/11/2010 20:43

Dad's just told me that5 the social services will probably be informed.

Wel, that's just fucking marvellous.

AitchTwoOh · 22/11/2010 21:29

oh bloody hell. and yet you can see why.

was there any luck with this guy at 6?

Curiousmama · 22/11/2010 21:50

Yes they probably will be involved but you've got nothing to worry about.

feelingfairlyfestive · 22/11/2010 21:55

Fucking Hell Colditz, you poor thing. I don't often swear but I am sitting here full of fury at this Tattoo Tony bloke and your ex, and indignant anger on your behalf. Have you considered setting upo a FB page to track him down? Any tattooist worth their salt would be equally appalled at this!

feelingfairlyfestive · 22/11/2010 21:56

SS will be on your side, you have done nothing wrong and are dealing with the situation admirably.

HystericalMe · 22/11/2010 22:10

This is awful!!! Shock

He has let you know the truth though, and this is what you want to encourage.

If, IF!, you every feel you really trust him again, you need to explain that it is good that he told you the truth, you want the best for your children.

DirtyMartini · 23/11/2010 09:06

So, did they find him at the 6pm location?

1234ThumbScrew · 23/11/2010 09:23

What an awful thing to happen, hope you've found him.

AnyFuleKno · 23/11/2010 09:50

Even if if it weren't for your son being tattooed, your ex is such a dickwad for having a tattoo in front of his children

GlitteryBalls · 23/11/2010 11:37

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about from social services. It was clearly an incident that you played no part in and had no knowledge of. You were allowing your ex access as agreed and ahd no reason to believe your child woul be put at risk like this. And since you have found out you have done absolutely the right thing. It is obvious to us all that you are a concerned, good mother and an intelligent and articulate woman. Makes me wonder what you ever saw in your ex though - now wonder you got rid of him! They may be wanting to have a few stern words with him, I would imagine. Not only is it in slightly poor taste to allow your child to witness you getting a tattoo, I would have serious misgivings about having the child in the room when there are needles and sharp objects flying around in case there was an ACCIDENT, let alone a deliberate incident perpetrated by a moron! And it seems ridiculous that your ex trusts this man enough to allow him to stick potentially disease carrying needles in to himself, yet doesn't even know him well enough to know his surname or even his phone number! I do hope they busted him last night. Have you had any news?

Sakura · 23/11/2010 12:16

I agree, GlitteryBalls, But no mother wants to even hear the words 'social services.'
Colditz is intelligent and articulate, but what if she wasn'T ? It's horrible that this man has done something that could potentially out a mother in a position where social services are contacted over her child.
Horrible man.

ilovesprouts · 23/11/2010 16:53

DanceInTheDark · 23/11/2010 20:54

I have only just seen this.

What has happened? How are youColditz?
