I'm procrastinating.

Sorry, can’t hear you, I’m in my fourth long bath of the day writing my twelve novel.

So ... just out of interest .... how do you decide whether a thread is made up or not? Is it just that, when you read it, it's just too outlandish in some way to possibly be true? Just curious, because, I've often thought it myself but have no real way of knowing why I think that.

After finishing my second novel of the day I'm going to make some threads about parents and then get stroppy when parents reply. Then have a cocktail and write another novel.

All of this from the bath I assume.

Mind you, I did pick up plenty of tips on how to use that time that's wasted on me.

Just start from a position of distrust it’s much easier 😂 about 4/10 of all threads I read and go back to later are deleted because they’re trolls. People on social media are open that they write threads here to upset/goad/get funny replies etc. There are some that are obvious fetishists, some that want to opening verbally abuse people for their race/weight/class/whatever and do it subtlety or start off that way and escalate it, some don’t even bother to hide it. It’s like when the daily mail put a woman who is a size 14+ and the headline is ‘CELEBRITY flaunts her trim figure while looking glam at EVENT’, they are doing it because they know then the comments will be ‘trim’ ‘she’s a whale’ ‘more like she needs to trim some of that fat off of her’ but they don’t actually have to say it themselves.

Of course. I haven't been dry since 2014 when I briefly babysitted a real woman's offspring and actually had something to do to fill my empty life.

Babysitted? Babysat. Maybe I need to rethink the novel writing.

Oh I dunno. I've read books written by academics on their subject with worse grammar than that.

Just finishing a triathlon while on a cruise, because of all the energy, money and time I have.

I just wasted my childfree life today by commuting for three hours, managing staff, marking essays, while doing all my hobbies.

I had no idea this childfree board existed until today so looking forward to getting acquainted. I agree it’s mad out there.

Today I have been working on my dissertation, tearing my hair out over Excel and StatsCloud, so it’s just as well I’m childfree as I’ve reached my limit for today. I tried to go out for a walk but it’s too humid, so I aborted and came home for a shower. I am now sitting on the balcony with my DCat and pondering opening a beer.
