Bit pitchforky out there.

OP posts:

@Pinkdrums 😂In my defence I'm only a stepmum by default, my "child" is 32, has a child of his own, and most definitely does not need stepmothering 😂Plus I spent 4 hours yesterday giving myself the most luxurious pedicure so I hope I qualify (and can avoid the vilification 😎)

tinydancer88 · 29/06/2023 09:42

Between the "childfree women relish the idea of late term abortions" and "second wives/partners should solicit the graceful permission of their husband's ex to 'share him", I feel the whole place has gone absolutely batshit in the last week😂

A pedicure. Wow, how selfish, I suppose that all I can expect from you childfree women though, just putting your own needs first.

A pedicure. Wow, how selfish when you have a step child, you should be putting that money into the family not putting your own needs first.

😏😉

Biffatcrafts · 29/06/2023 09:54

@Pinkdrums Yep, totally selfish, but I like having pretty toes. Plus it looks good on Insta when I walk all over my husband being the gold-digging second wife that I am. Got to maintain those stereotypes you know!😂😂

Let's not forget 'yes you ae childfree and don't want to be around children ever but that shouldn't mean you don't completely re-arrange your life to babysit for colleague who wants free childcare.'

Share my ex? bloody hell. Welcome to him, more like.

I blame the heat. Or a full moon. Or something.

fitzwilliamdarcy · 29/06/2023 10:03

I’ve a day off work today ladies.

Which got me thinking… I know, I know, why do I need one when every day as a childfree woman is annual leave? I didn’t even ask the parents I work with if I could babysit their kids today to help them save money!

So I did have plans but I’ve cancelled them as I now need to spend the day lamenting my selfishness on my golden brocade fainting couch.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 29/06/2023 10:06

Ooooh, I fancy a fainting couch. I'll put that on the list of 'furniture after I've redecorated.'

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 29/06/2023 10:27

@Pinkdrums she would have hated me, I love Pombears! 😋
I accidentally took a couple of things from the children’s section on an all inclusive holiday and a lady in the dining room was apoplectic. Excuse me, ma’am, I think you will find I PAID for my mini corn dogs and alphabites!

CyanCrystalViolet · 29/06/2023 11:12

I like those pulverised potato imitation crisps more than I like actual crisps. I also used to quite like Petit Filous.

We are letting the side down by being sober enough to post on here. According to the Daily Mail we should all be totally pissed by this time of the morning.

Speak for yourself! [hic]

Whatevergetsyouthroughthenight · 29/06/2023 11:30

I have obviously made a terrible mistake as I have been drinking coffee this morning rather than Champagne. What will the neighbours think?

I suppose I could sneak round the back of the village pub and steal the empty wine bottles to put in my recycling. That way the neighbours will hear the expected glass tinkling noise as it’s tipped into the lorry.

fitzwilliamdarcy · 29/06/2023 12:28

Pom bear woman would consider me the spawn of satan because I like Polly Pockets and vintage Barbies and Disney, all sorts of things that probably should be left for children to enjoy rather than selfish ol me.

On the plus side I don’t drink? I’m losing track, does this make a good childfree or a bad childfree?

There’s no such thing as a good childfree, we are all the sons and daughters of satan 😜

fitzwilliamdarcy · 29/06/2023 12:41

@Pinkdrums So we’re evil but satan’s fine cos he’s a parent? Sounds about right. 😂

BridgetRandomfuck · 29/06/2023 12:42

I was surprised to hear about all this free time I allegedly have from the various threads this week! Good to know my house cleans itself, I have no shopping to do and I should wave goodbye to my full time job. I’d better let my dad know I can’t take him to his hospital appointment too as I have a long bath to take. With all this free time perhaps I should think about running to be an MP, but then I’d be terrible at that apparently.

theemmadilemma · 29/06/2023 12:43

JorisBonson · 28/06/2023 11:55

I'm off to write a novel and not be busy.

😂

I have to remember this is here now.

CyanCrystalViolet · 29/06/2023 12:49

Free time? Do they have any idea what it’s like looking after a mischievous and entitled DCat who demands attention 24/7?

Jeezuswept · 29/06/2023 12:49

Tsk, childless women shouldn't hold any significant position - parents might be affected. Give your head a wobble.

But you should have a high flying career. Just not one that affects anyone else. You might infect them.

fitzwilliamdarcy · 29/06/2023 13:39

My quiet day off is ruined! Now trying to prepare for being shipped off to another country to assist with population decline, according to the latest thread.

Catchasingmewithspiders · 28/06/2023 20:39

I'm very suspicious about the current rash of threads about what shit people childfree women are so soon after the creation of this board

They often seem to be by first time/name change posters too. I have a suspicious that if they hadn't name changed there would be some links to the posters who where so vehemently against the creation of this board

Me too. It’s too much of a coincidence. I’d love MN to do some of the oft-quoted ‘having a look behind the scenes’ and see if there’s a connection.

Pancake678 · 29/06/2023 20:30

I have 2 DC but I miss my child free life. So much, I wonder if I've done the right thing having them (but don't tell anyone). Can is sometimes visit here and fantasise. 🤣

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 29/06/2023 08:50

I wish I'd had a childfree bingo card this week, everything would have been ticked off; including being accused of slagging off parents on here. Any backup for that assertion was, unsurprisingly, not forthcoming.

Yes, I kept looking for evidence on both the request thread and the one about the woman wanting to put her childfree friends on a babysitting rota. Couldn't find any, quelle surprise.

😆😆😆

My (also childfree) sister says black thumbs run in the family, though Mum was a good gardener in her day. I have managed to kill succulents, geraniums and cordylines. My sister has managed to kill roses.

I have found my people - I regularly manage to kill mint despite everyone saying once you've got it it'll overrun the garden 😂
