Thank you for new thread. Looking at this each day helps me to get through the waiting. I'm hoping not much longer now. X

Billie1993 · 26/10/2023 21:42

Thank you @Mummyrach13 for the new thread. I was just reading your response to me in the last thread. What you’re going through seems to be extremely similar to what I am going through the only thing I completely forgot to add was that she’s on Fortisip shakes daily for the lack of food intake she has. Reading what you’ve put and knowing your not so little one is almost 13 scares me to hear that they are still having eating problems, ARFID signed my daughter off their list the other day as they said her eating issue is down to her having autism (she’s undiagnosed also) although CHAMS have also stated she has ASD/ADHD/SPD and she struggles with her sleep. And they have all left it down to the school to deal with now which make me panic even more. When your child was in school how did they cope? My daughter she loves school so much And for her age she’s extremely intelligent but I think she struggles Because when I pick her up from school she becomes withdrawn and she breaks down so much. Sorry for the long message 🫣 I really hope you get the award for you and your child you honestly both deserve it. What’s your scan date again I have seen it but, with the FND it messes with my memory x

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 26/10/2023 21:45

I'll be following hoping you all get your decisions soon! @Mummyrach13 you seem as though you've sent enough in evidence, if I was the decision maker I'd defo declare your child needing more support so try not to stress to much! I reckon your application is already done seems like a lot of 26th June dates were done today and yday xxx

Billie1993 · 26/10/2023 21:47

Seems it’s a new thread my scan date for my 7 year old daughter is 12/7.

a little bit about her she’s undiagnosed ASD/ADHD/SPD diagnosed ARFID and sleep issues, she is on liquid melatonin 4mg and also takes 125ml of Fortisip shakes daily. She struggles emotionally daily, she doesn’t eat which is the reason she has help with the Fortisip. There’s much more but I don’t know what I can post.

a massive congratulations to all that’s been awarded today and a massive good luck to all that’s awaiting still, also I’m so sorry for all that’s been declined and I hope you start the MR for your babies and all get the news you all deserve x

Mummyrach13 · 26/10/2023 21:48

My scan date is 26/6 @Billie1993 to be honest with it all and the added OCD and OCD contamination it has taken over my life and my childs. I think he may have SPD and PDA but it’s all knew to me as people are only just listening now. It all seemed to have progressed after COVID and school was a huge challenge and he wouldn’t eat there at all! But since last year when he left primary everything has got worse with many more things added! He did 2 weeks of half days at secondary where I was called to collect constantly and I then had to deregister him as it was soul destroying. X

Thank you @Mumto2sengirlsxx i will be sure to let you know when I know. They say it doesn’t go on diagnosis but care needs and he definately has more care needs than a 13 year old. Due to various tendencies he can’t make any kind of food or drink for himself, he would go without, he doesn’t shower or do any Personal care himself due to OCD. He won’t touch door handles, flushes, taps etc! Aswell as the sleep disorder for not sleeping, he has intrusive thoughts of death which makes him up all night and can’t be left alone. Aswell as a whole load of Sensory sensitivities but as I said to billie because of COVID I was fobbed off for a good 18 months so only recently been listened to so think there is a range of things going on. He’s my eldest and I have 2 younger ones and he has my needs more than triple of the younger ones.

Welcome to the new thread ladies, let’s use this to help each other get through the Anxious wait 🥰 x

@Mummyrach13 Hi she is 14 was abused for 5 yr , was removed from her mother who sat and watched it all and did nothing to protect her , now she won’t sleep with light on , has nightmares and flashbacks, gets angry for no reason, was self harming and wanted to commit suicide as said she finding it hard to cope with what happened to her , she was at cahms for a year but wouldn’t talk about any of it , think it was to disturbing for her

Caitlyn59 · 26/10/2023 22:08

@Mummyrach13 without light on that was meant to say , she has bad nights thinking they will come to the door and wakes up crying, I had get cameras at back and front

Mummyrach13 · 26/10/2023 22:08

Oh bless her heartbreaking. I can imagine you will be successful with an award for her. X

OP posts:
Caitlyn59 · 26/10/2023 22:12

@Mummyrach13 can’t say what they done to her as on child protection papers I can get prosecuted, but she was tortured in many many ways , so didn’t know if anyone had been successful with this sort of thing

Mummyrach13 · 26/10/2023 22:14

@Caitlyn59 I’ve sent you a PM x

OP posts:
Mumto2sengirlsxx · 26/10/2023 22:14

@Caitlyn59 there was a woman I was friends with the start of the year on these threads when applying for my eldest. She had a similar situation and was declined but did a MR and the manager personally called her and said the decline was shocking and awarded her HRC straight away!! Defo sounds like a case where she needs a lot more care I think you should be fine xx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 26/10/2023 22:15

@Mummyrach13 defo sounds like he does need to have a lot more care hun.. problem is we're made to wait for decisions for so long we start to second guess everything about our claim, evidence sent etc and make ourselves ill over it all xx

Mastersstudent83 · 26/10/2023 22:26

Hi @Mummyrach13 . Thanks for starting the new thread. I think I last posted on thread 14 to say my application for my daughter (who has ASD, selective mutism, chronic constipation, anxiety, school refusal and hypermobility) had been declined. Thankfully I received help from a local disability benefits advisor and I sent in my request for MR on Tuesday. Saw the documents had been received signed for yesterday morning. Does anyone here know how long the MR process is currently taking? Good luck to everyone currently waiting, it's such a taxing process!

Mummyrach13 · 26/10/2023 22:42

@Mumto2sengirlsxx exactly the waiting makes us overthink everything!

Sorry to hear of your decline @Mastersstudent83 i think the MR are usually done within 3 weeks from what I’ve seen but someone else may no for certain.
hope you get it overturned. I really don’t know how these original decisions are made.

Is anyone thinking of calling for an update tomorrow?
let us know if anyone does.

Star2386 · 26/10/2023 23:05

I was wondering the same as put in mr yesterday

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 26/10/2023 23:15

@Mastersstudent83 sorry to hear about your decline hopefully the MR is overturned for you xx

MelTom88 · 26/10/2023 23:28

Scan date 26/6
Been catching up on the threads and seems alot from this date have had their decisions - congrats to those awarded today.
I rang just over a week ago and they said it would be November for a decision.
I am wondering whether to ring again in hope that they have moved forward quicker than she said previous but then reluctant as I don't think I could take it if they say I'm no further forward.

I think it would help all us waiting if the dwp all sang from the same hymn sheet. Its as though they pick out of a hat what they are going to say to us that day x

Lollypops88 · 26/10/2023 23:29

Following from part 17
Scan date 3/7
1st text 5sept
2nd text 25sept
Advisors say ring back on the 13th if nothing before

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 26/10/2023 23:31

@MelTom88 I was awarded today from 26/6 I rang Tuesday and was told 2nd week of November, wasn't gonna ring again but then saw a few people with the same scan date being awarded and my partner told me to just call before I went crazy and to my surprise the decision was made today on my claim... so I'd defo just ring and see if they have made a decision seems that they over estimated to make people stop calling. I asked for a text and didn't get one only found out on call so I'm glad my partner convinced me to call xxx
