Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Cass29 · 27/10/2022 18:04

@OKJ yeah i remember what they told u thats why it doesn't add up xx

georgiesmuma · 27/10/2022 18:28

They said more than likely 4-6 weeks but call up if you haven’t heard in 4 weeks which is about the 23rd ish of November

Lor39 · 27/10/2022 18:59

I am also waiting for a decision scan date 5/8. Being told it’s 13 weeks now. I am slightly worried I’ve not submitted enough evidence. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to submit additional assessments and reports before they look at the case? I’m hoping for an email address but also realise this is unlikely but with RM strikes it’s going to be tricky.

Thanks in advance

Nillica · 27/10/2022 19:09

My scan date is 27 July, I rang them this morning the lady was really nice, she said they were working on dates up to the 26th this week so should be either tomorrow next week and to ring next Friday if I’ve not heard anything, hope this helps x

Mkd1322 · 27/10/2022 19:19

@OKJ i no, it's ridiculous. Surely one of them was telling porkies unless they really are that far behind. But i dont see how they can go up 1 day in over a week x

Mkd1322 · 27/10/2022 19:26

@Cass29 @OKJ on another thread I'm following a lady just commented saying she has been waiting 23 weeks and been told could take another 2 🙈 x

alwaysonthegomum · 27/10/2022 19:27

They did say on the phone the dm usually likes to get decisions on their desk cleared within two weeks so hopefully you’ll get a decision soon

Seasalt74 · 27/10/2022 21:23

Long time lurker, scan date 21st July and now being told I have to wait another 3 weeks as my child doesn't have a national insurance number, I'm starting to think it's going to be Christmas before I get a official decision!

I didn’t think any child under 16 had a national insurance number, or do they have one but we aren’t informed what it is til they reach 16?

They get allocated one if you claim child benefit, I never have for my DS so now need to wait

Ahh I see, I never knew that. Just presumed it was generated just before their 16th birthday. You’d think they would’ve sorted one when they scanned your claim as surely it would’ve come up that your child didn’t have a national insurance number

MichelleG78 · 28/10/2022 00:22

@Seasalt74 from what I’ve been told no child has a national insurance number until they reach 16. If you claim child benefit for a child they are given a child benefit reference number which is then generated into a national insurance number shortly before their 16th birthday. Unsure of why you haven’t claimed child benefit for your child before now and it’s none of my business but just in case you’re unaware you can claim child benefit for any child regardless of earnings? I hope this helps x

Kits45 · 28/10/2022 06:17

I'm still hanging around was hoping to see some of you guys from the 25th awarded but I've seen some 22nds haven't got a decision yet :( wishing you all good luck. And also thank you to you all it made the wait much easier knowing we were all in the same boat together :)

Seasalt74 · 28/10/2022 07:55

@MichelleG78 anyone can claim child benefit however if you or your partner earn over a certain amount then it gets very heavily taxed, then you have to start filling in tax self assessments, which is alit of effort for what you are left with.

Cass29 · 28/10/2022 08:51

@OKJ @Mkd1322 another day another wait 😁 we r nearly in to week 20 now x

alwaysonthegomum · 28/10/2022 09:10

ive just called scan date 27th July and mine is with a decision maker. X

Shellbel10 · 28/10/2022 09:11

Is that week 20 from scan date, is it for new claim

@Seasalt74 oh I see, that”s fair enough. I didn’t realise child benefit could be taxed, how annoying! Hope you get your decision soon x
