DLA Wait Times Part 5 2022

Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

@Polly21x yes that’s what that woman was like with me, very patronising. I get it’s probably annoying the amount of calls their getting, but it’s also their job and should expect people calling multiple times when they’ve waited in excess of 13 weeks when it tells you online takes 8 weeks.
of course people are going to be calling more x

That was my point this morning I had to say it lol sarcastic sorry if I’ve wasted your time but I had to call as online says 8weeks and I’ve been currently waiting nearly double! Lol she replied with yeh unfortunately it’s just about be patient 😂

@Polly21x i genuinely don’t get how much more patient they want us all to be, while sat waiting for a complete stranger to decide wether our child’s needs qualify for support. X

And I also get that it must be annoying but it’s Their job they they should give the correct information out instead of each saying different things! Im not sure really to believe them now as the ones I’d say was really helpful like the man the other day told me I should receive a decision the end of this week like he gave me a bit of relief then today that lady just put a downer on it lol

@Polly21x you should definitely have a decision by end of week as their moving on to different dates next week. Try again tomorrow.
my scan date is 27th so I’m just going to leave mine while Monday, I can’t take another hour long wait to be told it be with someone in next week x

Exactly! Tbh it’s stressing anyway to think a stranger has to make that decision I no we all send as much evidence as possible but they can’t see how hard it can be! And then to call just to see at what point your claims at they get irritable that your calling tbh it’s not nice at all and at least all say the same thing! X

I hope so @alwaysonthegomum I really don’t think I will from the sound of the lady this morning on the phone I don’t know how much more I can take! Of the waiting and not even knowing how long it stays with a dm! And the wait just to talk to someone is ridiculous and it’s always the same

@Shellbel10 Thank you! I sent in her ASD & SM assessment/diagnosis forms. That's literally it, there was no school report or anything because I home ed my daughter. I was called on Tuesday by a lady at the DWP and told her that my daughter has just been referred to community paediatrics recently (that wasn't mentioned on the application form). Hope this helps :)

@Cass29 just got off the phone to them 😐 they said its taking 20 weeks, i said it's been 20weeks on monday. Its still not with a decision maker and they are working on the 7th of june. Wish i never called they have really annoyed me. X

@Mkd1322 wow they were on the 6th last week i think so its took them over a week to do 1 day wow that cant be right . It should at least be with a dm x

@Cass29 If you ring ask them the dates because surely someone is getting it wrong some where or they are generally taking that long. I thought would of been with a decision maker by now obviously not x

@Mkd1322 i just cant see how they were on the 6th last monday and the 7th today makes no sense does it . However i have seen on here people been told it wasn't with a dm then been awarded 2 days later x

i phoned my scan date is august 19th they said to allow another 4-6 weeks they are working on the end of July at present. The lady was really nice to be fair

I did, they said should hear in the next week or 2

@georgiesmuma i have the same scan date as you. Cannot believe another 4/6 weeks

@Mkd1322 @Cass29 Wow, I can't believe they are saying they are only on June 7th. It was June 6th when I phone on the 18th. I'm going to phone tomorrow, this is driving me nuts.
