EARLY LABOUR ADVICE TO KEEP THINGS GOING PLS

Pg with my 2nd and I've had a 2nd sweep and i'm 2 to 3 cm dialated, as soon as had second sweep i had contractions every 5 mins got really painful especially down below where i had the familiar pulling and stretching feeling. They died down a bit but still had tightenings. Now they've picked up again but not getting the pulling feeling. Just back and cramp and bloody tight.

Can someone give me tips to keep things going? I was walking around garden which brought back pains and now on birthing ball.

Oooo and DAIRY MILK!!!!! Worked for me Although not at same time as, ahem,

3andnomore · 08/09/2007 21:20

Missy, by neither dates are you overdue...so, why did you get a sweep done?
Dates by scan are highly in accurate...and so is bumpsize, you know...
honestly this Baby will come in it's own time, and if you give it the time thats needed it will be ready to come out, and that usually is a very good thing
If I had realised you weren't even offciially at your due date I would NOT have recommended clary sage

3andnomore · 08/09/2007 21:21

size by scan or bumpsize that was meant to be...

You ladies are hilarious. I'll be your friend Watling always, have you got a facebook? I've outed myself on the mn group, if you have come and find me.

Missy, have you done the deed? It does help honest.

Talking of Dairy milk have you seen the Ape add for it? got to be coolest thing I've seen in a while.

Choc does it for me far more than Ahemmm thats for sure. Ask me in a few years and I may think different but with a 4mth old and 3 dc's under 5 it's not the first thing on my mind.

I am a SAHM now, thats half the reason we moved here so that only dh needed to work and the jaffalings could have at least one of us around all the time. I used to be a support worker for a local authority learning dis team and before that a Manager/Ski Instructor at a dry ski slope.

I had reg contractions along with some other bits mainly that i seem to be turning into a manic depressant. so had a internal and sweep lots along with other probs. I used c sage with my dd it does bugger all in my opinion. Lol. I'm due by my dates, and as we were trying to concieve they make alot more sense.

I'm sure it will be fine 3.

My first two were both 2 weeks late and induced. With No3, I tried every trick in the book from 36 weeks, even the self sweep lark. dd2 arrived at 39+5, Obviously I have no idea if any of it worked or if she was going to arrive then anyway but I was like a woman possesed with got to get this baby out syndrome. Looking back and in a not pregnant state of mind it's easy to say, it'll happen when it's ready.

3andnomore · 08/09/2007 21:31

Watling , I am beating myself up because with ys I was 2 weeks early, I did go into labour naturally but did have a clary sage plus other things bath and my labour went really strong, and obviously fully dilating..but I ended up in Hospital with my first Csection...had natural Births to whatever extent the first 2 times...so...personally unless at or over due date I would never use anything that could get labour stronger..ever...because, maybe if I hadn't labour would have fizzled off or would have become naturally stronger when he was truely ready (ds was in a awkward position, btw)

missyhols · 08/09/2007 21:31

oh, as long as missy has a good birth I will be fine...no pressure there missy, lol

Mrsjaffabiffa · 08/09/2007 21:36

dammn, watling sussed it was a sneaky plan to steal bottle. Wise one there.

Well face book is a bit of fun, sadly it's as addictive as this. It will add friends from your address book, you can find old friends and be very nosy about people, play silly games, join groups of interest etc.... and it's free. There is a mumsnet group on there where lots of lovely ladies have outed themselves. Come and join us, it's a giggle, but beware if you do, I have a Ninja Zombie and I will bite you to join my Zombie army.

Missy, need a top up?

3, I did as I said below and my birth was fab, very quick yes but NO problems not even a stitch after, so as watling said it could have happened anyway.

Missy, I'm coming to find you!!!!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 08/09/2007 21:44

Register with them and then go to groups. find the mumsnet group and then the discussion thread on What's your MN name. I'm in there. Or even easier you could add me to your address book first. cathalix2004 at hotmail dot com

Missy, you haven't outed yourself, I've just looked, well you can find me if you wan't to.

Discharge is good, mine turned slimey and very slightly pink the day I had dd2.

Watling add me to your e-mail address book, as long as you use your e-mail address as your contact e-mail when you register you ill be able to see if any of your existing e-mail contacts have face book accounts.

Hmmm just had a notification from facebook, is that you already????????

Mrsjaffabiffa · 08/09/2007 21:57

Must sleep too, I'm an hour ahead here, it's way ast my bedtime. Night

Missy good luck, sweet dreams, will check in in the morn. xxx
