EARLY LABOUR ADVICE TO KEEP THINGS GOING PLS

Pg with my 2nd and I've had a 2nd sweep and i'm 2 to 3 cm dialated, as soon as had second sweep i had contractions every 5 mins got really painful especially down below where i had the familiar pulling and stretching feeling. They died down a bit but still had tightenings. Now they've picked up again but not getting the pulling feeling. Just back and cramp and bloody tight.

Can someone give me tips to keep things going? I was walking around garden which brought back pains and now on birthing ball.

33 minutes! You were keen

Do get some sleep now though. I started in the early hours and stayed awake, DD arrived 26 hours later and I was apparently snoring between contractions at one point

Watch the water though, it slowed me down, have 10 mins or so then time yourself again and see.

how lovely....
oh, I had lovely babycuddles today at the local softplay....me and ms went there because well, he doesn't start reception until monday...well, and tehre was this gorgeous little Babygirl (8 weeks I found out later) and well, he loves Baby's so started the connection and then the mum must have picked up on my urge to hold the litttle one...and let me, bless her heart...adn oh it was sooo lovely to hold a little Baby again, and she was just so perfect and gorgeous and beautyful and she settled on me and actually fell asleep and apparently she doesn't do that for everyone...[proud and showing off emoticon inserted, lol]...now, if I was more "vulnurable" you kow I would so have gotten broody...but as it was, I think, I really just enjoyed the feeling so much, because I had no responsibility, lol....

gosh, please, don't let me get broody...I could NOT cope with any more children, I am finding it severely difficult now...

Not at all watling - just pretending to be prim

The middle name is the same as DD - so I vote for that!!!!!!!!!!!

3andnomore · 07/09/2007 21:01

well, ds3 has been very difficult...the only easy part was the conception, basically, he is 3 now and is getting easier all the time...but yes, he has put me off having anymore, I just would not be brave enough anymore...and well, it just would mess things up...

nonononono...I do not want to change my name to 4 and no more, lol...

actually it's only the lovely parts and the ones where I may could have the perfect experience parts, if I try again parts that I miss....pregnancy, I in generally really liked, with es adn ms anyway...Birth...I would love, really just love, to have a Homebirth, just this once where it worked all out and would be great....and Baby, well, that nice lovely cwtshy Baby the good parts of that...nightfeedds never really bothered me that much...but ys was a nightmare of a Baby , sigh...

Tonight, in KFC there was a litle girl called Darcy, and I have always liked the name anywya, but it's so rarely used you hardly ever hear it...and I thought, oh what a gorgeous name...now, my boys would have been, if they were girls, Shana (es if ed), Lina (if ms was md) and Anoushka or Tatyana (if ys would have been yd)

but today I thought, if I had to girls now they would be Darcy and Esme...gosh...nonononononononononono...I am NOT getting broody....nononononononononono

3andnomore · 07/09/2007 21:08

do you have a gymball/Birthing ball...tis great to bounce about on that

callmeovercautious · 07/09/2007 21:08

3andnomore - good to know they are all different, DD has been hard work and I am really considering no more but at the same time I want that rush you get from Labour and birth again. I can't imagine DD not having a brother or sister to play with.

I think the morning sickness puts me off too, labour was not bad at all - give me that over 6 weeks of constant illness anyday!
