Pg with my 2nd and I've had a 2nd sweep and i'm 2 to 3 cm dialated, as soon as had second sweep i had contractions every 5 mins got really painful especially down below where i had the familiar pulling and stretching feeling. They died down a bit but still had tightenings. Now they've picked up again but not getting the pulling feeling. Just back and cramp and bloody tight.

Can someone give me tips to keep things going? I was walking around garden which brought back pains and now on birthing ball.

well, it numbs you a bit, not having had anything like that for 9 mths - crazy spend 9 mths avoiding it, ring the hospital when you think its starting and they tell you to take what you havent been having for ages!!! - Did sort of send me off and then dulled things until i got to hospital - make sure he doesnt wear squeaky shoes - nitemare!!!

oh, I had a bath with an aromatherapy concoction...but can't blinking think right now what it was that was in it....sigh...clary sage, that is for sure, and maybe ylanylang and lavender....hm....
it certainly kept my contractions going, that is for sure....and made them stronger, too...

Watling, no it's not....honest to god it is not...now, I am not saying it would have appealed to me to do that, never got to that desperate point, but honest it's true...I mean, why you think they actually use oral progesterone tablets now, if it would only work if it hits the cervix...afterall, progesterone is a very powerful hormone that ingested, I would think, goes into the bloodstream, etc...

lol watling, must admit, when I heard about this first I was a bit taken aback and thought that it must be a myth invented by man/men....was ratehr surprised that indeed there was truth in it!
Saying that...nothing will ever work, I suppose unless the Baby is at least kinda ready anyway!

Well pains picked up a bit. So hopefully won't have to resort to the oral method.
