Honey it's the length of your contractions rather than the times at the moment.

Are you able to sleep at all?

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 01:00

now 12.57! They last about a minute - the sore ones last longer ....! Dh has gone to sleep in case false labour - which is where I should be but can;t settle.

hi octopussy.
are you planning a home birth?
is your bag packed?

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 01:11

Er no and dh has drunk a bottle of wine and gone to bed!! Had practice contractions with no2 for weeks before he arrived...

If it gets really painful will call in the cavalry!

Still 4 minutes ... will give it a bit longer and then maybe try to get back to sleep or atleast shut my eyes so they don;t hurt so much tomorrow if its a false alarm!

have you tried getting in the bath?

lulumama's gonna kick herself for missing this!

mamama · 26/03/2007 01:16

Oooo, exciting!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 01:17

Lulumama recommended me some goggles!

What I want to know is whether its real - because if not will take some paracetomol and codeine and go to bed!

also - with tens - if you aren't sure - should you use it - or the fact that I am even considering it is a sign?

Go to bed. If the pain doesn't let you sleep then you'll know.

Also..... you need as much rest as you can get. Make sure you drink and eat!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 01:22

good plan - chocolate in kicthen - will see if it takes the edge off!

MarsLady · 26/03/2007 01:23

Gotta go to bed honey. If they last for a min of a minute for the next hour... it might be time to go in. If they slow down, go to sleep. Will check back tomorrow to see if you're still here.

We still need someone to beat NatalieJane's longest ever labour... thread! lol

Wishing you well though.

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 01:24

Night night! Oh god poor Natalie Jane - that'll be me - still here in 5 weeks!

You'll be fine honey. Just a thought.... are the contractions causing you to make noise? And if so.... what shape is your mouth when you make them... little o or big O?

EllieK · 26/03/2007 01:26

octo you're still awake

EllieK · 26/03/2007 01:30

mamama · 26/03/2007 01:30

Why didn't I know all the big O, little o business when I had DS?

NormaStanleyfEGGcher · 26/03/2007 01:49

Have we all gone to bed?

mamama · 26/03/2007 01:53

No no, I'm here. But I'm not the interesting one

You ok, Octo?

EllieK · 26/03/2007 02:01

is quite amusing really, last night she played a trick on us all on our AnteNatal thread, posted to say her waters had broken, left us to get excited, then came back to say she was only joking

NormaStanleyfEGGcher · 26/03/2007 02:02

I hope she is sleeping soundly
