I know what the sensation is like now - I feel like have been horse riding and walk like John Wayne - really did think that was supposed to be after they come out!

AND - my tummy seems to have shrunk - if didn;t know better - would say he has escaped!

elli-- NJ had an irritable uterus, which led to 6 weeks of am i /aren't i and gallons, nay rivers, of show!!!!!!!!

Octopus..if your tummy has dropped, sounds like he has engaged, if you are concerned re lack of movement, try having an icy drink, then lying on your left side, if that doens;t wake him op, give the hospital a call, put your mind at rest

MESSAGE FROM OCTO **

SHE HAS GONE IN TO BE MONITORED!!!!!!!!!!!!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 22:19

I'm back - the variability for the first 1/2 was okay but not great - so they faxed it to Bath for registrar to check and he seemed happy - midwife not so happy - so going back in morning to be checked again. He also had sharp decelerations down to 90 which freaked me out a bit. DS1 did this and was blue lighted for emergency section. DH not happy at all.... I feel better for going in and am off to bed for some very much needed sleep.

I think my uterus is very irritable and it may be catching if something doesn;t happen soon!

Monring ladies

Off to be monitored again - just don't feel he is a happy easter bunny. The thing in my notes says the variability was poor then got better - don;t think am being overly paranoid do you? Moving a little bit but am called octopussy in tummy for a good reason!

Would highly recommend the toasted teacakes while you wait for my return!

Knock knock, can I come in?, the marmite toast smells delicious this morning.

I just wanted to come in and say that I know that "irritable uterus" feeling. With my first pg, I was admitted to hospital at 33 weeks due to the contractions being so close and strong, they gave me drugs to stop the contractions, and mature the babies lungs. I was back in the following week, again on suspected prem labour. But the whole thing went on for another 6 weeks - ouch. I found if I walked for more than 50 metres, I would set off the contractions again. It felt like I had the tens machine permanently strapped to me! By the end I had learnt how to put the tens pads in the right place on myself!!!! (Oct - if you don't know already I can tell you where they go!) Walking around a supermarket became impossible for me, without stopping at the end of each ailse waiting for the contractions to stop again.... oh the memories. Anyway just wanted to say that Oct - I feel for you, that sore tum and all. Try to get as much rest as is possible, feet up and do nothing time. Will be watching out for you.

audiologistmum · 27/03/2007 09:56

Oct - hope the news is good for you this morning.

Debbsyandson · 27/03/2007 09:57

Morning Octo best of luck we will be waiting no your not being over paranoid your just an anxious mum to be (Debbsy gets very excited whilst pitching her tent for the duration)

cathcart · 27/03/2007 10:00

NatalieJane · 27/03/2007 11:47

No, I don't think they will ever go no matter how many children we end up with, though I am willing to stop at 3

NatalieJane · 27/03/2007 11:47

(...or maybe 4, but do not tell my DH, I think he would have a heart attack at the mere thought of it )

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 11:47

Good news - monitoring went well - more aches and ocntractions but all fine ... midwife said third babies can be little buggers and get the feeling this one may have horns when he comes out (literally!!)

She said could go in every day if wanted to - depends how fed up I get LOL!

have sorted the tens machine thanks

Grandad on duty this afternoon so off for a kip.
